Trying to get instances set of WAB Developer set up on our AGO and Portal (we use AGO for public facing apps, Portal for internal, and our Portal is integrated with IWA). I also have SSL certificates for my local machine provided by our IT dept. I got everything set up on both like I've done before, including the same redirect URL's like I have before. I know they no longer support http, so I didn't include an http redirect in either the AGO or Portal. In both cases I get the "Invalid redirect uri" error. When I add the http redirect to AGO, it works fine. When I add it to Portal, it still doesn't work, but it gets me further to the point where I'm asked to sign in and approve permission to access my account before it goes into a loop. I’m just kind of confused. For all the talk about http no longer being supported. I have one WAB instance on AGO which won’t work without an http as a redirect URI, and another WAB instance on Portal which isn’t working but is still getting further than when I didn’t have the http redirect. Mostly I want to get WAB on Portal working, but if anyone can suggest a way for it work on AGO without the http redirect, that would be great as well. I've been working with WAB Developer for a while but I'm no expert and any guidance/information would be much appreciated!

Has any one in the community used data from Woods and Poole economics? I'm a GIS Programmer working with our county DEI (Diversity Equity and Inclusion) office on gathering demographic data. We're already using Census and some Living Atlas data, but Woods and Poole sounded like an interesting source. They seem to have been used by several other local governments that I can tell, just curious if anyone would recommend them? Thanks!

Yep, I suspect it's Esri BUG-000119781 We found this 1-2 years ago. If your map service contains multiple layers based on the same data source, but each layer uses a different definition query to symbolize it differently it will do this. The workaround is to publish the service with one layer with no or only 1 definition query and copy/paste different layers in the Webmap in AGO and give each one different symbology there. It's possible it works better in Portal but I don't know for sure. If this isn't how your map service is set up and it's still doing this, you might want to put in a ticket and let them know. Hope this helps!

We’re working a Hub site for our Covid-19 dashboards and have various charts comparing data like percentage of population Our users have requested that the x-axis on the chart go all the way out to 100, but we’ve haven’t found a way to make this work. Is it possible to get more fine tuned control over the values on the x-axis and if so how? Thanks!

I can't make the bullet points in the Splash Screen widget be any color other than white. When I change the foreground color, the text will change but not the bullet points. The same goes for a numbered list. This happens in both WAB online and developer. Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Our Clerks department would like a workflow that lets members of the public add their name to a Permanent Absentee Voter list. We'll be using Geocortex for the workflow, but we're still looking at the best way to host the data. A public user should be able to create a record with their name, address etc. But we don't want this data publicly available and we don't want anyone to be able to access/download it/add it to a webmap using Add Layers. Right now it doesn't seem like this is possible due to the definition of sharing with "Everyone": But then I found a post that says if you mark a hosted layer as "Editors can't see items, even those they edit..." or something similar, and also the Citizen Problem Reporter. Can anyone confirm that it's possible to make a hosted layer publicly editable, but NOT available to the public or anyone outside of the group we designate?

So just to confirm, even if we had the Business/Community Analyst, it wouldn't allow us to use census data from other years? Maybe some background info would help. I work for a local county GIS dept and some of our departments are interested in demographic data to add context to surveys they've done. Certain surveys have only been done in certain years and so we'd like to use the census data from those years. Census data is great but it's not easy to work with from the source and Enrich Layer has been very helpful.

So I love the Enrich Layer tool, but I noticed the only years I see are 2010, 2019, 2024. Am I limited in options because I'm using the Enrich Layer tool as it comes with AGO? Is there more selection with something like Business and Community Analyst?

We're looking into Survey123 for our County Clerks department for members of the public to request being put on a Permanent Absentee Ballot list. Users will need to enter their address and then the local township/city will be selected. We have to have autocomplete addresses to prevent data entry errors and the jurisdiction must be automatically queried based on this because many people don't know which township/city they actually live in. So far the only solution I've found from all the posts I've seen on autocompleting entries in Survey123 involves external selects with (for us) a .csv with hundreds of thousands of entries. We're a fast growing county and our addresses are changing all the time. I found an idea from September of last year for using a web service to assist in autocompletion, which would be ideal. Before I move on from the idea of using Survey123 for this project, is there anyway to autocomplete addresses that doesn't involve what I've found so far with external selects?

Just can't believe there isn't a way to do this. A .csv with thousands and thousands of addresses ( that then have to be regularly updated ) is simply unfeasible.

ArcMap has functionality when creating a line feature to draw it a certain length, and then rotate it around the start point. Is there anything like this functionality in a Web AppBuilder widget. I've seen some custom Draw widgets where you can create a line and then rotate it, but it rotates around the midpoint and not an endpoint. We have some uesrs who would like to mimic the ArcMap functionality in Web AppBuidler and I'm not sure where to start. Thanks!

So I guess we didn't resolve it completely. The issue turned out to be Chrome based. I created an AppID and followed the steps and it just wasn't working. I remembered an issue we had with Chrome before where it wouldn't let us create new layers in AGO, but it worked in Firefox. So I tried the appBuilder URL in Firefox and it's been working fine. We've had a lot of reliability issues on and off with Portal, AGO and WAB dev in Chrome. It seems like we change a setting somewhere, it works for a while, and then something on Chrome's side changes and it doesn't work anymore. We got sick of this constant back and forth so I develop Esri stuff in Firefox now. Not a great solution, but give it a try.

I found an older discussion about this here, but I'm hoping for an update. We're working with a grave dataset and would like each burial to be labelled with the person's first AND last name not just one or the other other. Is there a master list where I can find out where "enhancement NIM072888" is in development?

We have a previously developed application that we’re wondering about using Collector for field inspections. The application involves taking pictures of properties and MUST include metadata (date/time, lat/long, etc) for legal reasons. We’ve worked with Collector before and I know that the _ATTACH table doesn’t have fields for this info, so when the photo attachment is uploaded to the server, it seems to get stripped out. However, I found this post (in this thread for context https://community.esri.com/message/544215?commentID=544215#comment-544215) which implies the EXIF metadata is kept somewhere. Where is this metadata actually kept once the photo is uploaded to the attachment table? Can this be used to create a feature class that has the photo as well all its data in the same table?

This started happening to us today. A dashboard for soil erosion permits for our Water Resources department had been working fine, but now viewer users are getting the "No Data" in all the widgets. I haven't republished anything like Tara above but I've checked to make sure all the services were running and permissions were set. Nothing has changed so we're pretty stumped.
