@NanaDei Thanks for the heads up! I was actually going to end up missing that session for a work meeting, but I'll rearrange my schedule to accommodate it.

Thanks for the great news @BruceHarold! What is a rough time to market from when a feature is under consideration to when it is available in Beta?

From what a co-worker told me, editing is not available in the Table (Beta) widget - but will be available in the full version of the widget that will be released with 1.4.

There have been a few bug recently with Portal and IWA. We encountered BUG-000126814 at 10.8.0 which also involved Portal and IWA. I'm not sure who the right person at Esri to address this question to is, but is Esri moving away from supporting IWA through the web adaptor with Portal? I ask because there's at least a couple of recent bugs regarding it and it sounds like Esri's plans to fix them are not exactly straightforward.

@BruceHarold Thanks for the fast answer. I should have been more specific, I was asking about support for/ within ArcGIS Enterprise. That is, will we be able to create WMS/WFS services from data in Redshift.

@NanaDei Thanks for the information!! The roadmap that you linked mentioned Snowflake and BigQuery. Is Redshift already supported or will support for that be coming at a different time?

George Thompson & Shannon Shields Thank you both for all of the assistance so far. Do ArcGIS clients currently support connecting to Snowflake or Azure Data Explorer? I know that geodatabase support is not currently enabled in either, but we just need to be able to create a connection to the data source and pull non-shape data from it.

George Thompson I have one point from my original post to clarify. It is not an Azure SQL Database as I indicated in my original post. The database that we are trying to connect to is an Azure SQL Data Warehouse.

George - Thank you for the advice and insight. I believe someone else working on the issue has opened up a technical support case, I'll verify that with them.

Workflow: Connect to SQL Azure database (not geodatabase) from either an on prem machine or Azure VM (received same error in both cases) and publish content to an On Prem server. Although we cannot get past the connection part at the moment. Questions: The Azure SQL Data Warehouse (version 12) is just a database - geodatabase functionality is not enabled. Yes, I did attempt to connect from ArcCatalog and received the same error as from Desktop. Yes, the 64-bit ODBC driver is installed. Yes, I am able to connect to another SQL Server (12.0.2) that we have in Azure. Do you mean a client in the same Azure region? If so, no I am unable to connect to the database from an Azure VM in the same region.

I tried from ArcGIS for Desktop (10.6.1) as well and received the following (slightly different) message there: "Failed to connect to the specified server. Do you want to continue? Underlying DBMS error [ [Microsoft] [ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server] [SQL Server]' CONTEXT_INFO' is not a recognized built-in function name. No extended error.]

We are unable to connect to an Azure SQL Database (12.0.2) through ArcGIS Pro (2.4 & 2.6.1), we are using the most recent Microsoft ODBC Driver 17.5.2. We are trying to publish/ share the content to our On Prem Enterprise Hosting server (10.8). We are receiving the following error: "Connection Error Failed to connect to the specified DBMS instance. A database connection exception has occurred. Connection was attempted with an older version of SQL Server client communications software that is not supported." Derek Law

I have the same question about connecting to Snowflake. My understanding is that the roadmap for Snowflake does include geospatial capabilities, but is there any way to connect ArcGIS Enterprise to Snowflake currently?

Andrew, Thanks for the help. I went back in and tried it again and I'm still experiencing the same issue. I have a map service which I shared as a hosted service with ArcGIS Online. I would like that map to have the Light Gray Canvas base map with the Light Gray Reference layer on top of my service. When I add the canvas from the Basemap Gallery I do not see the Light Gray Base and the Reference Layer as separate entities when I use Show Contents of Map. If I use the ArcGIS Services Directory to add the Light Gray Canvas as a base map and then separately add the Reference layer, the Reference Layer is added directly above the base map and I am unable to move it above my service. Any help further help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike
