Hi Kevin Fernando Escalera Robles, This is a known issue you're encountering in 10.5.1. The workaround is below: In GeoEvent Manager, navigate to Site > Connectors. Locate the Receive FlightAware connector in the list and open its properties by clicking the Edit button. Without making any changes to the connector properties, click Save. Navigate back to Services > Inputs and click Add Input. Locate the Receive FlightAware connector and click Select. The connector properties should now appear. Hope that helps!

Hi Justin, We just released a new version of the Trimble TAIP Connector for GeoEvent yesterday for versions 10.3.x and 10.4.x that adds this capability. The ID field will now be added to all GeoEvent Definitions and will be populated. Hi John, You are correct, the online/installed documentation does not describe the specific properties associated with every connector. Instead, tooltips are available on the property page for each connector that provides a brief description for each property (see attached image). Hope that helps! Thanks, Greg

The GeoEvent Extension team collaborated with FlightAware, a leading provider of worldwide aviation flight tracking data in over 50 countries across North America, Europe, and Oceania, to create the FlightAware Connector for GeoEvent. This connector uses the FlightAware Firehose API to receive the real-time data stream from the FlightAware data service directly into the GeoEvent Extension. Data received from the Firehose API includes flight positions (e.g. RADAR, ADS-B, Mode S, etc). By using a stream service, you can visualize flights worldwide, in real-time, in a web map as well as in your GIS applications. The connector supports all five data types: Flightplan, Departure, Arrival, Cancellation, and Position. Since the FlightAware Firehose data stream is sending high volume and high frequency data, make sure to review the prerequisites as well as the GeoEvent Extension tuning steps contained in the supporting documentation to ensure success with the connector. This connector can be used with GeoEvent Extension versions 10.3 and 10.3.1. For more information on how Esri and FlightAware are partnering, see this recent press release. Victor, not sure the ramifications of modifying the install Setup.sh file and changing the version number in order to get it installed. This is definitely not recommended and will result in a non-functioning product, likely the reason you're not able to access GeoEvent Manager. Each release has different files, properties, etc associated with it. In addition it will be harder to guarantee a successful uninstall of GeoEvent Extension 10.3 now that the setup has been modified to 10.3.1 since there are dependencies with ArcGIS Server, etc. So, two options (#1 is recommended): Create/get a new AMI that is clean without any ArcGIS software and install ArcGIS 10.3.1 for Server and ArcGIS 10.3.1 GeoEvent Extension for Server (once you get access). Open any ports as necessary. If #1 is not an option, follow the steps below to try to clean up the GeoEvent Extension environment (again, it cannot be guaranteed this will fix any issues): Uninstall GeoEvent Extension by executing: <ArcGIS Server Location>/uninstall_GeoEvent.sh If that works, the GeoEvent directory should be gone from the <ArcGIS Server Location>. Skip to step #b. If GeoEvent directory still exists in the <ArcGIS Server Location>, delete it. Delete ~/.esri/GeoEvent/config.<machinename>.<domain> Install GeoEvent Extension. Configure GeoEvent daemon. Victor, As a follow up to my previous post, I just saw your attached screenshot. To clarify, the 'Extensions' tab in ArcGIS Server Manager is not where you would add/manage ArcGIS for Server extensions like the GeoEvent Extension. This page is where you manage any custom server object extensions (SOEs) and server object interceptors (SOIs) that you can create (refer to the description on that page). GeoEvent Extension can be licensed during the installation process or after using the Software Authorization Wizard. Hope that helps! Greg

Victor, The versions of ArcGIS for Server and ArcGIS GeoEvent Extension for Server must be the same. Based upon your description, looks like you have ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 installed and tried to install GeoEvent Extension 10.3, which will not work. You will need to install GeoEvent Extension 10.3.1. Adam, The content of the tutorials have actually not been updated and they are still applicable to ArcGIS 10.2.x. I had to make edits to the item titles, descriptions, etc only, which in turn updates the Last Modified date. Updates to many of the gallery items will be coming with the ArcGIS 10.3 release. Several great use-cases, interesting experiences, practices, and challenges were actively discussed during the meeting. We see a lot of exciting opportunities surrounding real-time GIS and want the Real-Time GIS group to act as the collaboration platform for our community. The discussions, insights, requirements, and challenges posted by you will benefit the community as a whole and will help drive real-time GIS capabilities in the ArcGIS platform. So, how can you help build this community? Tell a colleague, or anyone else in your professional network, to join the group and contribute. The more active members we have, the more everyone will benefit.
