Hello Kade, This type of symbology is unfortunately not possible to configure via a CSV form or attribute table field containing image links. It is however possible to go through the style editor for your points layer and click "use an image" for every single unique point and input your hosted image link for the employee's picture. This is unfortunately the only method available for using custom images as point symbols at this time in AGOL. To do this: - Open the webmap containing the layer - Click "Change Style" on the layer. - Click "Choose attribute to show" -> Whatever field has a unique record for each Employee (Most likely Name field) - Click "Types - Unique Symbols" -> Options. - For Each unique dot on the legend list, click the dot to open the symbol properties. - Click "Shape" in the symbol properties window. - Click "Use an image" under the list of available built-in symbols. - Insert Hyperlink to employee's image for that specific point. This unfortunately seems to be the only way to accomplish having multiple unique custom images as point symbols at this time.

Hello Steve, Robert is correct-- it is not currently supported to place direct UNC paths to data as links into Web Applications or attribute tables, even on Portal for ArcGIS. Any links used will have to be accessible via the net by hosting the linked file on a WebServer.

We do not currently support PAC-based proxies in the Python API. Neither the standard library nor requests (which Python API will use for web requests) support these out of the box, so the API would have to be designed specifically to handle the information the PAC file provides. There is a package called pypac (https://github.com/carsonyl/pypac) that does this functionality, but we do not currently have the infrastructure to build this for designing and testing at this time.

Hi Brian, Just to clarify-- You and your colleague are both attempting this with the same feature service and webmap, and it works on her machine and not yours? If that is the case, it may be a web browser issue. Does this behave the same if the webmap is viewed in Firefox, Chrome, and Edge?

Strange-- It seems like the popup is configured with the correct attribute expression to pull the values from the fields with Arcade. Can you test and see if the attribute information is able to be displayed successfully if you toggle the 'Display' setting to "A list of field attributes", rather than "A custom expression"? This is the setting in question: Thanks! -TB

Hello Persefoni, This is unfortunately a limitation of the labeling engine in ArcGIS Online. ArcGIS Pro has access to the maplex labeling engine, which is capable of more placement analysis & generating labels with more complicated feature clustering. Please see the following quote from our documentation on labeling considerations in ArcGIS Online: "Map Viewer places as many labels on the map as possible without overlapping them. Thus, in areas where features are tightly clustered, some features may not get labeled." - Create labels—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation Labeling closely-clustered points will unfortunately not be possible within a webmap due to this limitation. There isn't exactly a data-based workaround for this either, as even if you were to break up the points into multiple layers, there is a chance the webmap viewer would only still label the 'top' layer or point if they are as closely clustered as you describe. As a workaround, I would suggest creating a 'Map Notes' layer in your webmap. This will allow you to manually add text boxes to create additional labels, which work similar to annotations in ArcGIS Pro. Check out the below documentation for further information on working with Map Notes! Work with Map Notes: Map notes—Portal for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Enterprise (Note: This documentation is for Portal, however the knowledge still applies the same to the AGOL environment.) I hope this information helps! -TB

Hello Bob, It is indeed possible to specify color when creating a label class with an Arcade expression in Javascript API. The color is specified within the 'symbol' parameters of a a label class constructed with an Arcade label expression. The below article delves into how to create a label expression using Arcade: Labeling-- Arcade ArcGIS API for Javascript: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/guide/arcade/#labeling I unfortunately do not believe it is possible to have two different colors displayed in the same label class however. Labels have not been designed with multicolor symbology in mind as an available functionality at this time. An alternative workflow to consider may be to create two seperate label classes using the two fields and colors that you want, and then just switch the active label class on the layer when you want to see the other labels/colors from the other field. I hope this information is helpful! -TB

Hello Mele, Unfortunately there isn't really a way to do this with Arcade language, as this language is primarily used for controlling the way GIS features are rendered and labeled, rather than interacting with hyperlinked content. A list of the current available Arcade functions can be found below. Arcade Function Index https://developers.arcgis.com/arcade/function-reference/ There isn't really any available out-of-the-box functionality for validating URLs within an ArcGIS Online popup at this time. For a workflow like this, it may be more worthwhile to explore a workflow that involves exporting the table containing the applicant URLs from your webmap data, and running the URLs through a status checker website like the one linked below. Bulk URL status code checker: https://httpstatus.io/ I hope this information helps! -TB

Hi David, The Attribute Table widget has the capability to display related records on a feature service layer within a WebAppBuilder Application. This widget should have the capability to export tables as well. More information on this below. Hi Jill, Unfortunately this is expected behavior. Any new content created in AGOL will have blank "Description", "Terms of Use", and "Credits (Attribution)" fields that must be filled in manually when the item is created. This includes using an existing hosted feature service item to generate a new View layer item. At this time, it will be necessary to copy+paste your existing information for these item details fields into the new view's item details when it is created. If you are interested in seeing a feature added that allows users to populate these item details automatically on new views, it will be worthwhile to visit the GeoNet Ideas page to submit this as a possible enhancement idea! Hello, According to the documentation on managing Metadata for items in AGOL, any metadata set for items using the metadata editor in AGOL should be available from the dataset pages for the items on the Hub site. Please see the following excerpt: "For organizations that have enabled metadata, a Metadata button appears on their item pages for item owners and administrators. Item owners use the button to access the built-in editor and include additional standards-based metadata. When an item includes this additional metadata, anyone with access to the item also sees a Metadata button and can use it to view the metadata in the style configured by the organization. Providing standards-based metadata with your item helps people learn about the item and decide if they want to use it. For example, if your organization has enabled Open Data, metadata documents managed from ArcGIS Online are available in ArcGIS Hub sites from dataset pages and the documents are included in shapefile downloads. The availability of standards-based metadata for these datasets helps the general public determine which dataset best meets their needs." Metadata in AGOL: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/metadata.htm Are these metadata options not appearing as expected for you, or is a different type of metadata being referenced in this issue? I believe the only metadata that can be displayed on a Hub site for shared items is the metadata that is configured via the AGOL metadata editor. Regards, TB

Hello Kathy, You are correct in that File Geodatabase downloads are only available as an export format for feature services that are hosted in ArcGIS Online at this time. For any services published to an ArcGIS Server installation, FGDB is not an available export option by default, even when the layer is added as an item in AGOL. An Enhancement has recently been logged to call attention to this, and request this functionality to be implemented in a future update. This enhancement is identified as ENH-000104096. This associated Ideas Portal post can be found below. Enable FGDB downloads in Open Data for AGS Feature Services: https://community.esri.com/ideas/14733-enable-file-geodatabase-downloads-on-open-data-for-arcgis-for-server-feature-services A potential workaround in the meantime is hosting an independent File Geodatabase copy of the AGS Service data on your AGOL content as an item, and making it available as an additional download file by adding it to the 'distribution' section of the metadata of the item for the AGS Layer in ArcGIS Hub. More information on how to do this can be found in the below link. Add Additional Download Files to an item in ArcGIS Hub: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/hub/data/prepare-data-for-your-site.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_3BCB1D7E697F4F4F8F3D3D109B0312D0 Regards, TB

Hello Stephanie, Once an item is published to an Organization in ArcGIS Online, it can only be shared with other Organizations through the use of Groups. Unfortunately there is currently no way to directly transfer published content between Organizations via the AGOL interface. One possible option to accomplish this goal is to use the AGO Assistant tool, which is capable of cloning published items between Organizations. This tool can be found linked below. AGO Assistant: https://ago-assistant.esri.com/ Another option in this scenario is creating a file geodatabase download of the published feature service data, and re-publishing the feature layer to the new organization from the downloaded FGDB of the data. This can be done by uploading the .zipped FGDB to the other Organization's content and selecting "Publish" on its item details page. Regards, TB

Hi Erik, This may be an issue with the MXD or extent settings in the map. The following steps may be able to get you a bit further with this: Try selecting "Create Annotation For" -> "Features in Current Extent", instead of selecting "All Features". Make sure the current visible map extent includes all of your features. If 1 doesn't work: Open a Blank MXD -> bring in just the labeled layer -> create annotations. Regards, TB
