I want the analysis approach of the first image (OD Cost Matrix, each Origin has many Destinations, radial networks) with the line visualizations from the second image (true along the network routes as line features). I know OD Cost Matrix calculates along the real route, but we also need to show those routes, not just the simplified lines.

I'm helping a researcher with a network based analysis problem. The researcher has a set of Origin and Destination locations. These represent farms as the origins that truck out their animal waste (manure) to offsite destinations. Most origins have multiple destinations they truck to. The analysis goal is to find all the routes between each Origin and all of its destinations, and represent those links as the actual route line, not a straight line. OD Cost Matrix does the correct kind of linking, but it does not create a real route as an output. Route Analysis can create real linked routes as an output, but it connects linked locations as linear routes only, not as a radial Origin and Destination set of routes. Any help in bridging these analysis tasks and outputs would be greatly appreciated!

I'm working with a researcher who is running an OD Cost Matrix analysis in Madagascar using the Middle East and Africa 2024.1 MMPK data, hosted locally. She would like to show the road network in her maps that match the network used in her analysis, but in the newer versions of these network tools or data, I don't see how to add the actual network as lines to the GIS project. Am I missing something in how the MMPK is used or unpacked?

I'm the admin to a university ArcGIS Online Organization. One of our researchers has an AGO projects that includes data collection using Field Maps and partners from two other Universities (each with their own AGO Orgs). Is a partnered collaboration the only way allow the two researchers from other orgs to access and edit our hosted feature layer in Field Maps, or is there a simpler way for them to all work together?

I'm helping a researcher run a Zonal Statistics analysis for counties over a multi band raster of yearly average temperatures for the US. The temp data is stored in a either 12 band TIF or a .nc (NetCDF) file. The goal is to use model builder to iterate over the bands so the researcher is not manually running Zonal Stats for each month (12 times for every year they need). But when I load up model builder, I don't see an obvious way to iterate bands in a single raster. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks Max. I think you are correct. I'll have to go back and look at the current version of Field Maps to see if this has been addressed, but it's unlikely. Esri moves at a glacial pace with these kinds of feature updates.

Adding my comment here rather than start a new thread. YES! Groups need a bulk add option and I'm surprised (although I shouldn't be at this point) that this is not already an admin feature for managing AGO Groups. This is an obvious use case, which I suppose is exactly why it got left off the tools feature list! Currently have a sub admin who needs to add his user base of 1000 members to a specific AGO Group. Currently he has no option but to add thena ll 1 at a time.

See the edited post above for a little more detail. Basically they set down a single averaged hi resolution GPS point, then enter all their observations off that point by angle and distance in meters. They do not need centimeter accuracy. Apparently ArcPad can do this directly? But it seems Field Maps can not. Yes, they will have GPS signal but no network. That's standard, they will download their maps for use offline and sync back to AGO later.

I'm helping a field researcher get set up for a summer trip to a SA rainforest, collecting frog observations. She will be using Field Maps for this work (past studies used ArcPad). Because the observations will typically not be at the exact location of the observer, the usual method is to collect an offset (angle and distance do the observation from the observers taken GPS point). I guess ArcPad as an option to add this offset info during the point capture. Is there a method for doing the same thing in Field Maps? I see that Field Maps as offset capture instructions (here) but this seems to require a laser range finder which the group does not have funds for. Edited to add: the offsets will be in degrees and meters (not centimeters). The distances are due mostly to having to take observations from outside sensitive or inaccessible habitat. Using the map pan method may not be accurate enough for them due to lack of hi detail base map information, but they do know how to accurately gauge the angles and distances.

Just looking into this but not surprised to find that ArcGIS Pro can not export its local scenes to other usable 3d formats (DAE OBJ etc...). A lack of interoperability has plagued ESRI software since its inception but I'd hoped that was changing w Pro. Esri, please add the ability to export a local scene as a 3d model with textures for use in other applications like Blender, MeshLab, SparkAR.

The Disperse Markers tool allows users to take overlapping or closely spaced points and redistribute them to make them more legible, easier to read in the map. The various Dispersal Patterns allow for decent control over the new point pattern, but they will also allow the new points to run outside of bounding areas that may be important to the original data. Adding a new Extents parameter would allow points to be re distributed within a certain space. This would have a similar effect to Create Random Points, except with more control over the specific patterns (Expanded, Random, Clustered...) and the starting location within the bounding extent.

A student here has just lost 3 weeks of work, her entire final project due in 5 days, because StoryMaps froze during an edit and somehow erased the contents of a sidecar containing all of her slides. Autosave of course immediately wrote that change to the app and because there is no undo, there was no way to retrieve her lost work. USers have been asking for an undo for 2 or 3 years now. This is an absurdly basic and necessary function to the this tool that Esri needs to stop ignoring.

I'm helping a researcher using AGO Dashboards for their project site. My first time dealing with Dashboards. The table that drives the dashboard list output has duplicate locations in it (where they have multiple projects at a single partner location). They would like this list to show only unique partner names instead. Is there an SQL clause to show only unique? Distinct? Not sure if this is possible, or if this even an SQL clause window.

I need some help with creating reusable feature templates in ArcGIS Pro. Is it possible to create a feature template (specific line style and attribute field values) without having to create the features first? And have those templates show up for any new layer I create in my project? I need a set of line templates that can be reused in multiple layers to digitize lines, applying styles and filling in values as we go. It seems like the templates we are creating now only work in the layer they are attached to, and require that you digitize each new feature type before the template shows up. Have read documentation here (https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/2.6/help/editing/introduction-to-feature-templates.htm) but not getting the results I need.

That's what I was looking for! Amazing how no web search I did with keywords like "arcgis online update data" brought me to that information. Will set up a test run now, but this looks like exactly what I was originally looking for (before moving on to symbology importing). Thanks.
