Thank you Abhijit. Using that template creates 2 raster proxies for each raster. One has the extension *.dim, is empty and doesn’t have any spatial reference, the other has the extension *.tif and has a spatial reference but is black. What format (folder structure and file types) would you expect in a standard DMCii product?

I created a template file with nothing in the ExcludeFilter tag but in the log message is below The raster format filter is the same as the template but the exclude filter is different. Where is that coming from?

Several templates are provided with Optimize Rasters for specific image products. Is there one for DMCii??

Where is ESRI taking multidimensional data support in the next couple of versions, specifically: 1. NetCDF is not supported in ArcGIS Pro. Is there a projected release version or date when it will be? 2. Dimension Explorer only supports multidimensional data stored in mosaic datasets and time-enabled feature classes. The Multidimension Tools only support NetCDF. What is the big picture for multi-dimensional data support in both ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS for Server? 3. The ability to generate vector fields (wind barbs) with NetCDF as the source, and publish a WMS showing those wind barbs was very exciting. It demonstrated the end to end capability so often needed by clients these days. The only issue I see now is that the source file is locked by ArcGIS Server. This would mean the service needs to be stopped every time the data is updated. For forecast data that can be several times a day. Does anyone have any strategies to get around that? 4. Are there any Geoprocessing tools in development to handle irregular gridded NetCDF files and GRIB? Thanks

Workflow would be as follows. User has an ArcMap document open in which a NetCDF Raster layer is visible. The user clicks on a location to view how a variable changes over time or levels. All the steps can be scripted using python, GP tools and a graph template except for the final step of displaying the graph to the user. Am I missing something?

Using the GP tools and python it is possible to dynamically create a graph in ArcMap but how can I display the graph to the user?

I have found the ArcGIS Explorer Configuration Manager can successfully preview a config file when it runs as an administrator. File permisions doesn't seem to be the issue. Is the application trying to write to a location other then temp\E3?

Mike, thanks for your help. File permissions appear fine. My account has full control on the new ncfg file. I have tried referencing the file using both UNC and drive letter.

Hello. A query regarding build 1500 of the Application configuration Manager ArcGIS Explorer can not access custom application configuration files. Using the application configuration Manager a config file can be successfully created at the location specified, however when that file is selected and the preview button pressed, the message "unable to access application configuration" is displayed. If that config file is used in ArcGIS Explorer it can not start. All files in the ArcGIS Explorer folder of application data have to be deleted before the app can start again. Any ideas why AGX can't see the config file? win XP 64 bit SP 2
