"failed to perform histogram color balancing"

Hello, I am currently using Arcmap version 10.4.1 and am having a problem with color correction. Under the color correction tab, when I select histogram balancing I receive the following error: "failed to perform histogram color balancing". I am wondering if this is a known error of this version of ArcMap and if so, is there a patch or update that corrects it? Thanks!

Are you trying to do this on a mosaic dataset? Please advise.

Yes, I added it to a raster catalog that I created.

Okay, you added it to a raster catalog NOT a mosaic dataset? The reason I ask is there is information about this if it's in a mosaic dataset so I wanted to confirm. MDS and RC are two different beasts.

Okay - great! There's a Tech Article about this issue with Mosaic Datasets but I wonder if it's the same issue with Raster Catalogs. Worth a shot to investigate.

Thanks for the article. I did verify that both sets of my data have three bands. I'll do some more research online .
