Hi there Has anyone else setup an ArcGIS for Portal 10.4 site and tried to import their ArcGIS Pro Entitlements form the 10.4 License Manager We are getting this error { "error" : { "code" : 500, "message" : "Invalid entitlements file. The entitlements file provided is invalid for the application specified.", "details" : null } } The Pro licenses are installed on a License Manager 10.4. The non selectable is the quickest way to achieve what you want to do. Using the table of contents—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Scroll down to Listing by selection However if the data is in an SDE, depending on who the users are etc.. you can make it no editable this way. If it is in FGDB or Shapefile there is not a way I can see you achieve this expect use the help link I provided Cheers John

A site is having intermittent issues with Portal dropping out. The specific problem relates to authentication, which is SAML2 based. Approximately once every 2 weeks they will go to the ‘sign in’ screen. Instead of it presenting the standard “sign in”, it just says unauthorized (in red text). At this point the Portal page goes into a loop of refreshing. We have provided instructions on how to restart. (It’s slow and takes the whole ‘enterprise’ down for a while.) My thoughts on securing a workable resolution to this are: 1) Use SCOM monitoring to detect when the word ‘Unauthorized’ is present on the sign in page, which suggest it’s down. This could run every minute or two. An email could be sent to the ‘relevant’ parties to advise of the outage. 2) Look to create some form of web service that can be called. This would close down the Portal Service, wait and then close down any running PostGres tasks. Portal can then be restarted. This web service could potentially be called by SCOM, or an appointed person. It would potentially mean that the GIS Management Team could self-service this. Alternatively, I’m thinking that a scheduled tasks could refresh the Portal each night so that it is more stable? Here are the Particulars Portal 10.3.1 Windows Server 2012 R2 Not federated. Users are managed through ADFS. The login uses SAML 2 authentication. The event appears to be random. The actual time period can be between 7 – 14 “calendar” days. Has anyone found these issues at any other site, or if anyone knows of any tools that are already ‘out there’? Thanks John P

Hi David, This may or may not be relevant to your use case. Does it work with iOs Collector 10.3.3? www.support.esri.com Support Center Alerts An issue has been identified in the latest version of Collector for iOS (10.3.4) that is available on Apple’s App Store. If you are currently using version 10.3.3 please do not upgrade to version 10.3.4. In the meantime, please ensure that automatic download of the app updates are turned off on your device. We are working on this issue and will have more information soon.

As Callum pointed out to me in a separate email it looks like its a bug. Bug NIM-102778 Synopsis The insertRow method of arcpy.da.InsertCursor fails when working with data in a geometric network. Additional Information N/A Alternate Solution The Append tool works fine for features participating in a geometric network. 1. Hello there, I have a question around checking out licenses for ArcGIS Pro for Portal. We have setup an instance where we have ArcGIS Pro using a Portal instance. Everything is licensed as it should be and we have extended the license borrow on the license manager to 365 days. However if we Authorize to take ArcGIS Pro offline it only allows us to have 31 days. Have other people encountered this before and is it possible to change it from 31 days? I do note that if you have an ArcGIS Pro License that is managed by an ArcGIS Online for Organizations account and you authorize to take ArcGIS Pro offline the license is checked out for the full license term. Has anyone else experienced this and if so did they manage to get this sorted. Looking through the portaladmin there doesn't appear to be anything that allows us to change the dates. Cheers John P
