Right now, an ArcGIS Online administrator can create custom roles that prevent users from being able to generate a Tile Layer. This is good because it prevents inexperienced users from inadvertently using a load of credits by generating a large number of tiles directly in ArcGIS Online. However, a Desktop user can now generate a tile package offline, then push it to a Tile Layer in ArcGIS Online without using credits for tile generation (because the tiles are generated locally). But, if an administrator has limited an AGO user so they cannot generate a Tile Layer, then these users can push the tile package to Online but they cannot create the needed Tile Layer. It would be nice if there was a role that allowed users to NOT generate tiles directly in ArcGIS Online, but still allowed them to publish a Tile Layer from an uploaded tile package.

Thanks for the quick reply Benjamin....we only have 40 points, so this workaround was perfect for us.

Hi there - A feature service with feature attachments will display the attachments as a hyperlink, like this: But, I'd like to use the attached JPG to display the photo inline in the popup, like this: I know I can do this by uploading the images separately and setting them up in the "Configure Pop-up" window, but that seems kind of redundant (having the images in the Feature Service, as well as uploaded separately). Is there a way to directly display a feature attached image in the popup? Thanks.

All that's needed is to swap out the server domain name in the *.sde files, but there are lots of *.sde files to update. What would be the best arcpy function to use to read properties of the existing *.sde files? Thanks so much for your quick reply.

Hi there - Is it possible to, using arcpy, to edit the content of an *.sde connection file (or files) directly? Based on some initial research, it seems this is not possible and that the closest I might be able to get would be to use CreateArcSDEConnectionFile_management to generate multiple new files at once. Thanks.

So, we've just installed ArcGIS for Server 10.2.2, and the setup went smoothly, except for the fact that we cannot access the Server Manager via any other computer on our network other than the computer it was installed on. So, our computer is named "r720", and from this machine we access the manager via: http://r720:6080/arcgis But from any other machine in our domain, we cannot access the Server Admin using the same URL. However, we can access the root IIS webserver homepage by going to http://r720 from any other machine. I have a feeling I'm missing something ridiculously simple. Thanks in advance. M Knapp
