Hey everybody, When reading in the help file how to create a custom theme, and using the demo theme provided, I ran into a problem about the demo theme not showing up. Eventually I figured out that I need to adjust the .repoignore which dictated that the DemoTheme should be ignored. I couldn't find anything about this file in the helpfile. Did I miss something Kelly Hutchins ? Just wanted to let everybody know, that should run into the same issue. Tim

Hey Brian, Just copy your "Demo" widget folder to client/stemapp/widgets folder. Then go to client/stemapp and open the config.json file and at the end where it says "widgets": [{ add the following to the list: "label": "Demo", "uri": "widgets/Demo/Widget" Now the demo widget should show up when you create a new app. Tim

I don't think this is possible within ArcGIS Online. However in ArcGIS Desktop you could use the attribute assistant to do this for you, which is included here.

Craig, your issue is that you get the index number from your selection, not the actual number. I.E if I use your 0 option I will get a 0 back because it is the first number in your index. When I choose 100 I will get 4 back since it is the 4th position in your index. Hope this helps! Tim

Eric, I had the same feelings when I looked at the javascript API. I tried to dive into it a bunch of times and gave up. But here is the way I learned it. First I finished 2 chapters at code academy : JavaScript | Codecademy HTML & CSS | Codecademy With this understanding I was able to start working with the intro that ESRI provides.
