This storymap example shows the results from a Survey123 survey, and the attached photos are nicely displayed in the popup for each data point. Click on the embedded "Explore our oceans map" in that link to see what I'm talking about. The 123survey form itself is located directly below the webmap in the storymap, and if you happen to submit a new entry, the entry with your photo shows up on the map instantly. If that is what you are trying to do, Jessica, then I'm with you-- I want to do the same thing! It seems like a simple thing, but all I can do in the popups from my survey123 layer is show the links to any attached photos, not the photos themselves. If you or anyone else reading this have found a solution, please let me know. Thanks!

Another new version of ArcGIS (2.8.1), and still the dreaded "indexing is in progress. Please wait or search again later." I've been waiting for a couple years now! Back to Desktop ArcCatalog we go...

Thanks for the suggestion, Jayanta, but that did not make a difference. And I get a transformation warning pop-up whether the box is checked or not!

Thanks Robert. Unfortunately there don't appear to be any stock transformations for many of the polar projections I use, so now I'll just have to ignore those messages. It may be my imagination, but it seems like projects with these transformation errors take longer to open, so is it possible this new feature is causing some of my more complicated projects to not open at all? It would be interesting to go back to 2.8.0 or even 2.7x and see if those same projects will open in previous versions. Too bad their isn't an aprx doctor like there was for mxds. Recreating some of these corrupt or non-functioning projects will take a while!

Hey all-- has anyone else had the issue of some projects not opening since updating to 2.8.1? Most of my projects open just fine, but a few just hang indefinitely with the message "Loading <layout or map name>" and never open. I've tried renaming the ESRI folders in the AppData folder, but that didn't help. I've also tried restarting my Win10 machine. Another change is I am now getting Transformation Warnings in some of my projects, which I have never seen before, even in projects that I have worked with regularly for a long time. I am wondering if the hanging of some of my projects and the Transformation Warnings are related in some way? I am curious to hear if others have experienced what I am describing, and if so, did you find a work around? Thanks! JD

+1 on this idea! I really miss this capability in Pro-- I did this all the time in Desktop.

I have wished for the ability to do this for years! There is probably a way to do it using a histogram, but I've never figured it out.

No improvement on the indexing issue in Pro 2.7.0 either. Still have to use the Desktop version of Catalog to do data searches.

I have a closed ESRI support ticket for this, but it was never resolved. I'm not sure how to get it logged as a bug and I don't have the patience to go through hours of clean installations and renaming files and all that business with a support technician. I continue to use Desktop Catalog 10.8.1 when I need to search for data layers, but it sure would be nice to be able to search directly within an aprx! Maybe it will be resolved in the forthcoming 2.7 release.

Hi Joshua (or any other python gurus who see this)-- this python script has worked great for me for months, but for some reason I keep getting the following error when I run it today, even using the exact same data and syntax that ran perfectly yesterday: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 29, in <module> AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'setSelectionSet' I've tried restarting my project as well as creating a new project, but to no avail. As a reminder, here is the code again, and I've attached a simplified gdb that includes a stripped down version of some of the point data. If have you have any insights, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks-- JD from arcpy import da, Describe

I don't know if anyone else has found a solution to this problem, but if you have, please share it! I spent several hours with Esri tech support last week renaming files on my C drive, trying all sorts of different configurations in options, etc., and ultimately doing a new clean install of ArcGIS Pro 2.6 under their guidance, but I still get the dreaded "Indexing is in progress. Please wait or search again later." Argh! For now my workaround is to use the old Desktop version of Catalog (10.8), but it sure would be nice to search right within Pro projects. For the record, the support technicians I worked with were very pleasant and as helpful as they could be, but clearly this has not been documented as a common issue as they could not offer a solution. If I find or hear of a solution outside of this thread, I will be sure to share it. Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing, so thanks for posting this! I have to ask esri though: why can't you drag and drop from your favorites? If you can drag and drop from the other tabs, this does not seem like a stretch.

Doh! Of course that's shorter and cleaner, and works perfectly. I tried something like that initially and must have had the syntax wrong because it failed, so I assumed you had to pull out YYYY, MM, and DD separately. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the link-- I'll read it see where it takes me! For now I am using 'ToUTC' via Arcade in the formula below, and it produces the correct day. If I learn anything more on this topic, I'll sure to share. In the meantime, your tip was a game changer for me- thanks! YMD_Text = Text(ToUTC($feature.DateTimeStamp),'YYYY') + Text(ToUTC($feature.DateTimeStamp),'MM') + Text(ToUTC($feature.DateTimeStamp),'DD')

Hey Jeff-- did you ever find a solution this issue of arcade shifting the day? It's driving me crazy! I tried changing the time zone on the Time tab, but that had no affect.
