Hi Melissa That functionality could be added in by customizing the Story Map Shortlist via coding. This would require that a developer download and self-host the code. For example a link could be added into the panel that gives you details about the selected place that zooms in on it when clicked. You'd ideally use the option to show all places in the tabs (instead of having the tab content be extent sensitive) so that zooming in closely on the map doesn't empty the tabs. Two other approaches that might be good to consider if you want your users to be able to browse a set of places showing close up cartography of each place. These don't involve doing any app customization via coding: - You could use Story Map Tour and set the Zoom Level (via the Settings dialog) so that users see each location in your tour in close up. - You could present your places in a Story Map Journal, with a section in your Journal for each place, with text and images about the place and a corresponding map. In Journal, you can control the exact extent that the map displays for each section, or use different maps for different sections. Here is quite a cool example of this approach:   Great Britain: More Roads Less Traveled   http://arcgis-content.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=fbf644cbbba441c7bd9b1a00d03c8728  This is actually a Story Map Series - Tabbed app: the author has created a Story Map Journal for each category of places of interest they want to feature, and then they embedded each Journal into a different tab in a Story Map Series. So the result is rather similar to Story Map Shortlist because there's a tab for each category of places. Hi Chelsea Nice work on your Shortlists! Very nice customization of Shortlist version 1. I had a look at your map http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=1302710fe2ce4ad1a25e94250a5fb323   and the point data looks OK except that the PIC_URL field isn't populated. But the points should still draw. If you click on the places in your tabs a popup appears for them, so the locations are there. I think your Shortlist isn't finding the point icons like the other two are but I can't tell what is causing that. Rupert ... View more

Hi Ralf How you'd access ArcGIS Online depends on how you are using ArcGIS. If you are using Portal for ArcGIS at work, it is possible that your organization also has access to ArcGIS Online which you may be able to use. So in that case it would be good to check with your administrator. Hi Alison Very sorry about the issue with access to your tours. We have received a report via Esri Tech Support that Story Map Tours fail to load on iOS and MacOS devices as a result of the update we made to the app in the ArcGIS Online release on Wednesday. We will be updating ArcGIS Online tonight with a fix for this issue. The same fix also handles the same issue we have observed in Story Map Swipe and Spyglass apps on the same devices.  Can you confirm which browser and OS you are using when your Map Tours don't load? If you are using iOS or MacOS then it is the same issue above that will be fixed tonight. Your City of Windsor Sculptures map tour that you posted above works fine for me on Windows (very nice work by the way). PS. Your City of Windsor Construction Detours map tour (which is in the Story Maps Gallery because it is a very cool looking customization of the Story Map Tour) is unaffected by the issue above because it you are self-hosting it (in order to customize the source code) with a previous version of the app, and not the latest version with the issue.
