Yeah, the Shortlist 'as-is' workflow, which uses your data 'as-is' in the app (assuming it matches the required schema) is designed for users who want to do all of their place update and management via the web map/data layer, rather than in the Shortlist Builder. So if you have published your Shortlist via this workflow, you'd make changes to your Shortlist by either editing the data in the web map you are using, or replacing that layer with an updated one. You can add additional supporting layers into the map displayed in the Crowdsource app, but if you want your end users to be able to turn them on or off via a layer list control, you would have to download and self-host the app source code, and add that control by customizing the source code to add that control in to the UI. Hi Steve Tip 1: Delete protect your apps, maps and data. Use the Delete Protection setting you can turn on for any item you own or have edit access to. You can delete protect the item for your story map, and the items for other components like web maps and data layers. This will protect them from being accidentally deleted by you, or anyone else who has edit access to them (such as your Organization admin). To delete protect items, open their item page in ArcGIS Online or your Enterprise Portal and click the Settings tab. (You can't delete protect story maps from "My Stories" on the Story Maps website). Tip 2: If you have a lot of content, organize it into folders. Use folders in your ArcGIS Online or Enterprise Portal 'My Content' to organize the web maps and layers used in particular stories. For example you could make a folder for a particular story, and move all the items for that story, including the item for the story itself, into that folder. This makes it easier to keep track of your items. For example, I just use the root (top level) of My Content for testing and other misc items that I don't need to keep, and I occasionally delete those items to clean up. Anything I want to keep longer term I move into a folder, named after the particular story or project. You can rename folders now in ArcGIS Online too. Note that folders aren't reflected in "My Stories" on the Story Maps website:  My Stories shows you a flat list of your story maps, irrespective of how they are organized into folders in your ArcGIS My Content.  Tip 3: Use My Stories. The "My Stories" section of the Story Maps website gives you a view of your ArcGIS Online content that just shows you your story maps. You can expand the entries to get a listing of the content they reference. My Stories automatically checks the content to see if it exists and to check it is shared correctly to match how you have shared your story map. So it is a very useful dashboard for story map creation and maintainence. My Stories is also available as an app in ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, so you can also use it if you are using ArcGIS Enterprise instead of ArcGIS Online for your online GIS (see this blog post for details). Hi Jake, I know what you mean and point taken. Actually, the names don't have to be the same but in some of the Story Map Builders it will update the existing app title in item details in ArcGIS Online when you enter the title in the Builder. And some of the Builders will prompt you if you change the title to see if you want to use that in the item details. We're not very consistent with this. But once you have finalized your Story Map title in the Builder, you should be able to change the title in the item details so that a different title appears. For example sometimes if a story map has a really short title and long subtitle, you might want to edit the title in the item details so that it includes some of the text from the subtitle so that the item title is more meaningful when the item is included in a gallery or ArcGIS Online Org home page featured item strip.  Rupert PS. Authors also sometimes make the title in the item page include version info so that they can see that when they look at their list of apps in ArcGIS Online My Content or My Stories on the Story Maps website. It is best to avoid doing that because the title in the item details is used automatically when your story map is shared on social media. When one of your audience members clicks the Tweet button in your story, the default Twitter card that gets generated automatically by Twitter includes the title, thumbnail and online summary about your story that it gets from the item details page in ArcGIS Online, not the actual title and subtitle in your Story Map header. So authors should be aware of that if they use different text for their item page's title. In the example below the title in bold in the Twitter card is the title in the item page, not the title of the app Also, notice how in the example below, the item details page doesn't have a thumbnail and the one line summary is the same as the title, so the default twitter card doesn't look good: the person who does the tweet can't control this: it is up to the author of the app to fill in the item details. Authors commonly don't take full advantage of making a useful one line summary that will help make people want to click on the link in tweets. If your publicly shared story map doesn't have a thumbnail or good one line summary and it is already being tweeted, don't worry. If you upload a thumbnail or edit the summary, Twitter will pick that up eventually and update all the existing tweets so they look better.
