Just a quick comment - when working with the Local Layer widget in the 1.2 developer edition, you'll want to modify the PDF to read this for the file location to modify the config file for it to recognize in the WAB: \arcgis-web-appbuilder-1.2\client\stemapp\predefined-apps\default\config.json \arcgis-web-appbuilder-1.2\client\stemapp\predefined-apps\basic_viewer\config.json \arcgis-web-appbuilder-1.2\client\stemapp\predefined-apps\editor\config.json \arcgis-web-appbuilder-1.2\client\stemapp\predefined-apps\simple_map_viewer\config.json

I was able to run it before without having it installed. Apparently (at least according to what I interpret from the documentation on WAB), it comes with nodejs running on port 3344. However, if you were wanting to do any customization, you'd have to install nodejs. Use JSON Viewer. I was able to get that plugin to work and show the data formatted in a way that works. Install the plugin, then select all the text and click on "JSON Viewer", then "Format JSON".

Lefteris, This is what I use for Notepad++: JSTool plugin - specifically the JSFormat function from the plugin. This will automatically format the code to something much more coherent with proper indents, etc. You can add this extension easily using the plugin manager.

Rebecca, I think they are looking for something that allows social media (i.e. tweets, youtube, webcams) to be loaded into the map and queried.
