What exactly is the suggestion here? I can locate these references but I'm not understanding what I'm supposed to do.

Is there a comprehensive list of things to do in order to fix this issue? I'm not sure if I've captured everything suggested in this thread because I think I've implemented the suggestions but I'm still seeing an issue with the Layers List widget. This is also happening in WAB Developer 2.4

Just a quick google search found this ESRI support item but not sure if it's relevant --- check to see if the user account is in the db_denydatareader role in any database.

Thanks Randy, Could you clarify? Are you saying that in your testing AGO automatically removed the spaces? If so, then I would assume there's nothing that can be done to stop this. Thanks again! Take care.

We have a hosted feature layer that published from a feature class in a file geodatabase. The attributes in the columns are formatted in a specific desired way so as to have padded spaces between characters in these TEXT columns. As seen in the attribute table itself: For the feature layer after it is uploaded and a hosted feature layer is created, we set a custom attribute display and configure the columns as required: However, in the actual popup it seems to re-format the values and removes the padding/spaces between the characters: Is there any way to prohibit this from happening or an alternative workaround?

We wrote our own library to handle this and import the library across all of our production python scripts, writing errors and logs to a SQL Server table that is designated for holding results.

The issue we have in setting up a Link for a popup is that part of the hyperlink consists of a base url + {field} where that field has a domain. The problem is that when setting up the link, while it correctly displays the {field} text/value in the popup, the actual url/hyperlink contains the domain value. For example in a custom attribute display configuration for the popup, I can specify this as the "URL" property: http://mydomain.com/sitename={SITENAME} and "More Info" as the Link Text property. And it correctly displays in the popoup "More Info". However, when hovering over the link it will not use the "SITENAME" text value, it will use it's coded domain value and invalidate the url. Any input?

Robert, I can fire the event as you suggest in the startup function() however how do I enable that function anytime the map extent changes (after the startup has finished)? Perhaps I need a listener on the draw event of the Feature Layer instead? Thanks again!

Thanks Robert, My task is simply to make a feature layer invisible if the current map extent exceeds a value. Right now, that feature layer is made visible by a button click, which that button is deactivated until that extent threshold is met. This is fine, except that I need to turn off that visibility if the user zooms out too far (because it causes performance problems). I'll try to implement your example! Thanks, James

Is there a way to implement a listener in a widget.js for extent-change events occurring in the map? I need to be able to toggle the visibility of a feature layer (that is added by other events from the widget) based upon the map's extent. The offending workflow is that: 1. Button on a widget panel is deactivated until a specific map extent (zoomed in) is achieved. 2. Upon button click, add the feature layer and set it visible. The problem with this is that there is no listener in the event that the user zooms out. I need to be able to toggle off the visibility of that feature layer if the map extent exceeds a certain value. Thanks for any input!

I gave it a go but because our AGS site is not configured to copy the data to it. I am able to add the widget to WAB Developer and it looks great, seems to be a good solution but I'm stopped due to not being able to publish the service. I think you just need to: 1. Publish the supplied GP service. 2. Add the widget to your stemapps widgets folder. 3. Add the widget to your WAB and configure it to point to the service you published.
