Just went to that page that you linked me to enable the public folder, and it says you need Dropbox Pro or a Business account to enable the public folder. Since this is not an option for me, would you mind taking a screen print/grab of what the story map looks like when you host it? I need to make sure at least the home page looks decent before I send it out to the County, who runs our website.

I tried to upload it with Dropbox so I can customize the story map more than the map builder wold let me, however, from what I'm seeing, you need to pay for Dropbox Pro to host a site, is this true? I'm already paying for iPage, so it's frustrating to have to purchase a new hosting service just so I can edit my story maps.

The weird part is, before I used the newer version, I had copied all of the files from version 7 into a new folder within iPage since the uploading process is so long, and then I just changed the header image and the webmap id and that's when I first had the issue of not loading, so I figured start fresh and redownload the template to ensure there were no corruptions within the code/files, still didn't work, and that's when I did a side-by-side comparison of the two versions of code. Thanks for looking into the issue, though.

Thanks for the recommendation! It's weird that this happened with iPage, because, like I had said with the original post, a different story map using the same template was created and still hosts just fine with iPage. I actually read both HTML sources right next to each other before coming here to make sure there were no discrepancies; the only difference between the 2 is my first story map used Version 7, and this one used Version 8, so I wonder if there's something different in the source code with Version 8 that's not compatible with iPage.

Thanks for looking into it and the solution you suggested. I think it'll work and am about to give it a go, however, how would I be able to use my custom header when using story map tour builder, since that's usually been done through the js file?

I've made a sequential, place-based narrative story map. I've already made one before, and it displays everything properly. This time, I did the same thing; downloaded the zip file, followed the directions, created my points of interest in the CSV, uploaded it to a publicly shared map on ArcGIS Online, and then uploaded all the files in the zip folder to iPage, my work place's hosting site of choice, and when I try to view it, the loading circle doesn't stop spinning. I've tried re-downloading the codes, icons, everything, to make sure there was nothing corrupted in the folder. I just can't get it to load, and whoever wrote the code didn't use proper indentation, so it's almost impossible to really read through "every line" of code to see what's wrong. Any ideas on what could be preventing this story map from loading?

But can I make the static reference map display 3D buildings, like in ArcPro, or could I just make the main stage a web scene and the side panel would have pictures/other media?

Is it possible to insert 3D buildings into Story Maps? The types of 3D buildings I'd use in CityEngine. Or even just a scene in ArcGIS Online, not a webscene you'd export from CityEngine, but the scenes (content>create> app, map, scene)?

The trees in this rule file appear to be not to scale; they're much larger than they should be. Is there another vegetation rule file out there with better trees? If not, am I better off selecting all tree points at the same time and scaling them in CE?

Actually, that's what the rule file did as a result of our nonstandard street widths in Downtown. You pointing out that it's a curb step gave me a great idea though, since a lot of our parking is indented/bulbs (I'm a land use gal, don't know much about the transpo jargon). That will help make our scenes more true to life. Thanks!

Hey David. I'm having an issue with this rule file. I'm attaching two images, one of the real road I'm trying to model, and one of how it's looking with your rule file. I will admit, on larger roads, it has been great to work with. The medians and parking and level of detail is great, however, on more narrow roads, I'm having more issues.

Are there any rule files out there for roads that are better than the Esri Simple and Standard Street Rule Files as well as the Redlands Example StreetConstruction rule file? Both of these rule files have major limitations for my purposes: The Esri rule files do not have parking or medians The Redlands Example rule file doesn't work - parked cars are ending up on sidewalks, crosswalks do not generate, there is a second curbstep that completely interferes with custom sidewalk textures, they're all European (no American street markings available), etc. I need a simple rule file for roads that can generate centerlines into streets with crosswalks, simple sidewalks capable of adding custom textures within the rule files, and parallel parking. My Python skills are very limited. I can pretty much only read what has been created and add a few things here or there, or else I'd just create my own rule file. Does anyone know if such a rule file I just described exists? If so, where can I find it?

Where can I find a zip of the Redlands assets folder? All I can find in this thread and on the Redlands link is the rule files. I lost my original copies of the rules and assets.
