I can't find a solid document on this, and Esri support was just trying to fill in the gaps.... I have an application that I configured through our web appbuilder for arcgis on our organization site. I have since downloaded the code and pasted the requisite json from the web app into the config.json on my web server at https://mywebserver/webapp my proxy is located here: https://mywebserver/DotNet/proxy.ashx I have registered the application and have a clientid, and secret on agol. clientid: clientid123 appsecret: appsecret123 I can successfully browse to the application at https://mywebserver/webapp without the proxy and get prompted to enter my agol creds and it works. I just would like to remove the agol popup and enforce my own iis security. To do this I need a proper configuration in my proxy and in my json.config. Can someone use the variables that I quoted above and tell me what my <ProxyConfig> tags in my proxy.config file, and what my "httpProxy" section should look like in my config.json? I think that's all I need. 😉

WOW David, You solved the original issue with that answer you just posted. I've been on at least two support calls with Esri to tier 2 and they were stumped. We thought we were chasing a whitelist ip address issue, but I guess not. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks Jeff Shaner I set to debug level on my server log and I watched everything. I isolated my log view to REST and also the Map Service source. Everything looks fine on the server logs. I also checked to see if the .geodatabase file that was created by the sync request (residing in the service output folder ) was complete. And it was complete. It's just not transfering the .geodatabase file over to the mobile client. Something gets hung up and then it times out. The service is working just fine for smaller aois. I have a feeling this is web server related, but I have no idea where it's coming from.

For the third time ( I'm not trying to be rude) I already have basemaps on my device. I'm attempting to just get the vector data.

Yes. I am familiar with the requirements for offline. If you read my first post, you'll gather that I actually can take data offline (smaller areas). Can you let me know what you see in the link you've referenced that I might be missing?

Platform: iOS Self Hosted (non-agol) service My downloads are taking forever, or timing out. Granted I'm attempting to download a 400KM linear project-- but just the vector data. All of my rater data is already on my device. If I pick a smaller area, everything downloads, but that's slow as well. I notice that the percentage automatically jumps to around 20% then it just sits there. I'm pretty device savvy, so if there is a way to sideload this data, like the tpk workflow option, that would be AWESOME. I've kicked this off and let it sit, I'll check back in after thanksgiving I guess 😉 I just don't trust wifi, or iis, or arcgis server to keep the connection alive. It would be nice to download and provision a replica to collector via a gp tool in ArcMap. Especially on for large projects.

I'd Imagine ArcPad will follow the curve of hardware usage. Given the rise of iOS and Android, the writing is on the wall. Once Trimble and other GPS Manufacturers abandon ship on this platform, the developers (Esri) will have no choice but to follow.

Mark you do not need ArcSDE 10.2.2, but what you do need is ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 which is the first version of ArcGIS Server to include the sync service capability for a feature service. I'm not sure on the minimum needed version for ArcSDE that you need to publish a sync enabled feature service, but I can confirm that I am using ArcSDE 10.2 (Not 10.2.2) and using the sync offline capability just fine. I hope this helps.

Yes I set the level to debug. The arcgis.com map is made of two sync-enabled map services, both are archive-enabled with GUIDS. I bring this up because there is no activity whatsoever on the map service that I am attempting to create data on. But the map service that has my background data on it has plenty of activity in the logs. What's weird is that everything works iOS and the server logs are active on both services when syncing on that platform.

The feature class to sync does not have attachments enabled. I'd be happy to explore my device and provide error details. The fields that have have for this feature class are MEDIA_ID, COMMENTS, HYPERLINK, SHAPE, created_user, created_date, last_edited_user, last_edited_date, GlobalID, OBJECTID It is archived and has globalid's it is not nested within a feature dataset. It resides at the geodatabase root. It is not z-aware and the coordinate system is NAD83 LAT LONG.

I cannot seem to get offline data collection to work on Android. I've tested on a Galaxy Tablet and On a Galaxy S4 with no luck. I get an error when synchronizing. When I attempt to synchronize the same project on an iOS device, everything is working great. Anyone else seeing this?

BUMP I have an error storing credentials on secured service in AGOL that results in a 502 Bad Gateway After adding the item, and storing my credentials, I attempt to add the service to my map and I get an error 502 bad gateway. If I attempt to browse to the new rest endpoint at utility.arcgis.com I get an ArcGIS Portal Directory Error. ******************** ArcGIS Portal Directory | Home Error You do not have permissions to access this resource or perform this operation. Error: 403 ******************** I'm using server 10.2.2 sync sync-enabled feature service. (GIS Tier Authentication) I've tested this with map services too and also on a computer that is completely off of my company domain. Do I need to do something to federate my server with AGOL? Do I need to set up some sort of a proxy or open a port to AGOL? The instructions for this are turn-key http://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/reference/arcgis-server-services.htm They just say, you can do this. But don't provide any detailed prerequisites? BUMP
