I have a points layer with X,Y fields, each time I add a point I should perform "calculate geometry" to calculate the coordinates of the new points. Is there a way to handle this automatically via a spatial view in SQL Server using a certain geometry function? Any help is appreciated!

I have a parcel layer, on top of it the buildings layer lies, each parcel contains a building, I want to create a spatial view that automatically spatially join the building with parcels (using intersect) in order to append the Parcel_Number attribute to the buildings features. Is there a way to do this? The two layers are in enterprise geodatabase in SQL Server 2014 Any help is highly appreciated!

I have a parcel featureclass that I want to classify it according to the number of edges the parcel shares with the road like in the image below: However, the real life parcels are not as uniform as in the figure above, the screenshot below shows the irregular parcels I have that should be subjected to a certain kind of analysis which can determine how many edges each parcel shares with the road. Any suggestion about how this can be done? Thank you in advance, Hani

Hi Asrujit, Still NOT able to run the commands above, I removed the 10.3.1 version, installed 10.2.2 version and the ArcSDE 10.2.2 Command Line Tools. However, the commands are still not recognized by CMD as shown below. Are there any additional steps that I should do after finishing the installation? Thanks in Advance, Hani

Hi Pieter, In the Downloads, I found the ArcSDE for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express (Personal), I've downloaded it but still the CMD is not recognizing the commands. Is this the targeted software? If not what should be the name?

When I copy a feature class from file GDB to SQL Server enterprise GDB, some fields (their names contain more than 33 characters) are trimmed in the enterprise GDB. What is the allowed field name length in enterprise GDB? Can I change it? Thank you in advance, Hani
