Is there a way to publish map service in form of MapServer via ArcGIS Online? In ArcGIS Pro, I am able to publish my layer via ArcGIS Online in form of FeatureServer, but not able to publish it in form of MapServer. However, I noticed that there are many layers published in MapServer format in ArcGIS Online sample server. Any help is highly appreciated Regards, Hani

Thanks all for the helpful input, Seems that the issue is to use http only, since most of the services should come from other servers and these servers are non-https. My issue now changes to run my portal using http, and so my browser would not show any alerts. Is there a way to run the portal using http protocol?

I've installed Portal for ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 and added a CA certificate to it, the portal is working very well and can consume https services from ArcGIS Server. However, when I try to add non-https services, it fails to load them and the unsafe content icon appears, so I need to click it in order to proceed. Is there a way to enable mixed-services mode (http & https)? Notes: "Allow Access to the Portal through https only" is UNCHECCKED "Allow anonymus access to your portal" is UNCHECKED The Unsafe Content icon after adding http layer: Any help is highly appreciated Thank you in advance Hani

I have a Tiff orthophoto and contours-lines feature class for a study area. Is there a way to superimpose the orthophoto with the contour lines, so that I can view my orthophoto in 3D like in google earth? Any help is appreciated Hani

Dear Vince, As you mentioned above that Command Line Tools is no longer. I all the time wonder what is the new relative? I read a lot of articles published by Esri about this, but I never found how I can register a spatial view with enterprise GDB. May you please elaborate more how I can do this without ArcSDE Command Line Tools? Best,

I have an existing table in an oracle enterprise GDB, when I try to enable this table as versioned, I get an error that says: "unique indexes cannot be specified for multiversion tables". What might be the issue here? Any help is highly appreciated! Hani

How can I register a spatial view with an enterprise Oracle geodatabase? What kind of code should I use in ArcSDE Command line? I am not aware of the registering code that should be used for oracle spatial views Any help is highly appreciated!

I have a .geodatabase runtime geodatabase that works fine on a custom android mobile application built with ArcGIS SDK for android (this runtime gdb contains feature classes, tables, relationship classes, and attachments). when I try to import the data stored in this database using Copy Runtime Geodatabase To File Geodatabase tool, the tool start running, but it suddenly stops and the ArcMap crashes as shown in the screenshot below. The .geodatabase runtime gdb is attached What might be the problem here? Any help is highly appreciated Hani

BTW, Why the triggers are not recommended in geodatabases? What GDB capabilities/functions could be affected?

I have a versioned feature class for parcels that contains [Parcel_Number], [Block_Number], [Community_Name] fields. I want to concatenate these values to derive an ID for the parcels populated in [Parcel_ID] field. I am wondering if it is possible to populate this field automatically when a new parcel is inserted to the versioned feature class. Note: I want to accomplish this without using spatial views as I need the Parcel ID to be generated immediatly at the versioned feature class in real time Thank you in advance, Hani
