I am going through the example notebook Content Management: Check for broken URLs and it works fine other than the email output. The assembly code says this: # Asemble the message and return it return f"Webmap ID '{webmap_item.id}' contains unreachable URLs."\ f"You can view the webmap here: {webmap_item.homepage}\n"\ f"\n"\ f"Reachable Layers\n"\ f"----------------->\n"\ f"{reachable_str}\n"\ f"\n"\ f"Unreachable Layers\n"\ f"------------------->\n"\ f"{unreachable_str}" but the email sent has this in the email body: Reachable Layers -----------------> * World_Hillshade_3805 Unreachable Layers -------------------> * plsstest_655 * CityCountyState_5586 Where is the first part and why does it not include that in the email? Any ideas?

To verify if I recreate the registered data connection with the new standardized name I should be able to delete the old registered connection without affecting the rest services.

Is there a way to rename registered data connections to arcgis server? I need to standardize between environments and currently they are all over the place. If I cannot rename what ramifications are there to deleting and recreating the same connection with a standard naming convention?

Why is that the first time anyone has said that to me? I will give this a shot. As far as the task scheduler, I will try that again as well. I had other issues with it that were unrelated to this. I will let you know how this turns out.

With the the cmd in admin I can run the -import command. It will run a few processes like unzipping the latest backup and it will start restoring...and then it won't do anything. If I go into the cmd prompt and hit enter then it will continue. I have also started the -import process and left it only to come back in the morning and hit enter for it to complete. I have scripted it and intermittently it will work. Most often it will not. #02317110 WebGISDR - Backup and restore is not working properly They closed the premium support ticket and referred me to professional services. I have emails from Professional services if you would like them.

I wish ESRI's business model would focus more on QA/QC than new exciting functionality. I know the latter is more eye popping cool but I think it would be a lot cooler if the software just worked well without all the bugs and issues.

yes I have done both. It works if I babysit the restore as it just hangs if I don't keep tabs on it. This has gone to premium support and then to professional service. They told me it is a bug and will be fixed in 10.8

This is not the case. My index was fine. The livingatlas script is part of the create site function in the installer. If any living atlas item that was originally installed is missing this script will fail. This must be a difficult fix because I have premium support and esri developers working on this and they have been for a while. I am not sure what to tell you other than let your support analyst know that this is a current ticket with premium support and you have the same issue.

I had thought about deleting the livingatlasdif.sql file like mentioned above but this is my production environment so I was hesitant. I have a premium support ticket in and they have been working on the fix for 4 days. This apparently is an known issue since 10.6. If you have any living atlas content deleted from your portal this will happen. This script is trying to update all the living atlas items and if they don't exist it fails. The strange part is the living atlas items are not even delete protected. Seems like a huge oversight on ESRI's part.

I have the same issue....ESRI has been working on a fix for over a day. I may try what you did. Were there any unexpected consequences? Amazingly the reason for the error is deleted living atlas content. Who knew

The webgisdr team is aware of the bug and are working on it. BUG-000121969 The files getting left over are the unzipped backups. I am not sure why they aren't getting deleted automatically.

As of 10.7 it still sticks. Does no good to script because you have to babysit the process. Also for some reason it stores all of the backups in the C:/arcgisportal/temp folder. If you are trying to do a nightly back up and restore it really fills up fast.

This is an upgrade from 10.7 so not even a major release. Permissions should be set. Anyway just frustrated. Means for a verrrrry long day for me. I am even doing a silent install through Chef Server. The process from Chef timed out twice already.
