Thanks for that. Unfortunately, I am not the ArcGIS Server administrator and cannot rely on ArcGIS Server Manager. I wonder why it is not possible to delete Image layer items in ArcGIS Pro catalog when I own these items, while directly logged in Portal, I can delete these items. There must be a reason.

Hi, It looks silly but I cannot delete Map Image items from ArcGIS Pro catalog... Deleting Feature layer items work ok but deleting Map Image layer is not possible. I receive a message asking to use ArcGIS Server Manager Is there a reason for this? Ir does not facilitate portal items administration... (deleting directly on Portal do work for info) Thanks

Thanks. This will help... With SQL, I will run a query to list tables with a ST_GEOMETRY (spatial table) column type which are not in GDB_ITEMS system table. These should be the unregistered spatial tables. Also, I will run a reverse SQL query to list registered tables in GDB_ITEMS which do not exist in the RDBMS, meaning the records in GDB_ITEMS are of no use and obsolete.

Hi, I reply to 'myself' because I believe this might help other ArcGIS Pro users. I ran again the Register with Geodatabase geoprocessing tool in ArcGIS Pro and noticed the following message: "The view's registered base layer was not found. Failed to execute (RegisterWithGeodatabase)." I found it interesting because the Register with Geodatabase geoprocessing tool in ArcGIS Pro 2.8.3 works ONLY if the view being registered reference another table in the Enterprise GDB already registered. The Register with Geodatabase geoprocessing tool in ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.1 is more forgiving and smarter as you can register views, made from scratch, I mean mashing others tables stored in underlying RDBMS, and spatially enabled with SDE function. This does not work with the Register with Geodatabase geoprocessing tool in ArcGIS Pro. Please ESRI, fix and improve (just as in ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.1) this geoprocessing tool for future releases of ArcGIS Pro.

Hi, I am looking for a (an existing?) geoprocessing tool to run in batch to find out which tables and/or views are registered in an Enterprise GDB. This would help to save time... Thanks

Hi, In an Enterprise GDB 10.6.1, I wonder if I can run SQL queries from a third-party client, to find out if table/view are registered in Enterprise GDB? If possible, what is the SQL syntax? Thanks

Hi, Earlier this year, I posted above about issues to Register table and/or view created in third-party SQL client (underlying DBMS is Oracle). I looked again in the problem and found a workaround. To make it simple, the Register with Geodatabase tool in ArcGIS Pro (running 2.8.2) is not working. This seems unbelievable but it is the case, either with: - right-click in the table/view to register > Manage > Register with Geodatabase - Register with Geodatabase geoprocessing tool in Data Managements Tools > Geodatabase Administration > Register with Geodatabase - Register with Geodatabase at Python command line https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/register-with-geodatabase.htm To overcome this issue, I simply step back to ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.1 and registered my tables or views with no problems using the Register with Geodatabase geoprocessing tool ... Please ESRI, can you confirm this bug and/or fix it in future releases of ArcGIS Pro. Finally, in ArcGIS Pro, if copy & paste a table in the Enterprise Geodatabase (in Catalog), it does register the copied table automatically (meaning the table is valid for registration). This is not handy though. In addition, if using Create Database View in geoprocessing with a SQL statment based on a table, the Register with Geodatabase geoprocessing tool works on this view.

Hi, I just upgrade my Adobe CC apps and installed the ArcGIS Maps for Adobe 2.2.1. In Illustrator 25.3.1, I open the menu Window -> Extension -> ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud and Sign In to my ArcGIS Online (User Type: Creator) account. It all should work but I have a freezing black ArcGIS Account window and nothing happen. Just as if the Sign In process could not perform... Is it a know issue? Any workaround? Any help appreciated. Regards

Hi, I am experiencing problems to Register table and/or view created in third-party SQL client (underlying DBMS is Oracle). The register tool requires ObjectID field only for view which has to be integer: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/geodatabases/overview/register-a-table-or-view-with-the-geodatabase.htm To register a table, an ObjectID field is not compulsory. In my view, I created a not null, no identical ObjectID field using a CAST( as integer) limited to 4 bytes (up to 10 digits) to comply with this technical issue: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000010398 The ObjectID field is matched to LONG in ArcGIS. It looks ok. However, it always fails to register such table and/or view and I receive the "unexpected error... The view's registered base layer was not found." It does not make sense and I remembered registering table and/or view still recently. For info, I am the table and/or view Owner. On the other hand, if I copy & paste this table in the ESRI environment (Catalog), it automatically registers (meaning the table is valid for registration). Any help really appreciated.

In addition to my post above, I tried to Register the same view, but created as a table and I still receive the "unexpected error... The view's registered base layer was not found." It does not make sense because it is a table now...

Hi, Question about registering a view in an enterprise GDB: how is it possible to have a NOT NULLABLE ObjectID field to register a view into an Enterprise GDB? Usually, a view will inherit settings from the base table, in the case of a table with an ObjectID field NOT NULLABLE, the ObjectID field in the view should/will be NOT NULLABLE. On the other hand, if the view is built-up with a third-party SQL client, with an ObjectID built from a CAST() SQL statment, how to specify that this ObjectID field will be NOT NULLABLE? I need this NOT NULLABLE ObjectID field in my view in order to register the view with an Enterprise GDB, as explained here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/geodatabases/overview/register-a-table-or-view-with-the-geodatabase.htm So far, I managed to built an ObjectID field as an Integer in Oracle, recognized as Long in ESRI ArcGIS. But I still get an error when trying to register the view in Enterprise GDB... and I suspect with NOT NULLABLE ObjectID field in my view... Any help really appreciated.

Thanks for your suggestions. I understand in Enterprise GDB, directly in ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, there is no option to 'lock' feature classes. I was just looking at something to prevent accidental deletion from myself as I am the table owner with all the privileges. For editing and viewing workflows, I do have other database users (with authentification) with correct privileges. Nothing much more I can do I think.
