Jody, At 10.1 you can enable editor tracking. This gives you the ability to track when a feature was created and by who and when a feature was last edited and by who. Using this functionality you could run a query to return all records that had been created or updated Today. With python you could automate this to run the query, create a report and have it e-mailed to you daily. Below is a blog post that talks about configuring a script to send you an e-mail after a geoprocessing tool is run. @colmokane, I completely agree, i merged these ideas all together because I believe the point of all the ideas is to be able to display only the selected records. If you create a describe object from a layer you can get access to the FIDSet property which returns a semi-colon delimited string of the FID of all selected features in the layer. Based on this below is some sample code to accomplish the items you mention: - Determine if a selection had been made. desc = arcpy.Describe(lyr) if not  desc.FIDSet  == '':    print 'Layer has a selection' - Get a count of how many features/records were selected. 2 options: result = arcpy.GetCount_management(lyr) print result.getOutput(0) or desc = arcpy.Describe(lyr) len(desc.FIDSet.split(";")) - Further manipulate that selection. You can create your own projection file using international foot by following the procedure below: Open the Data Frame Properties and go to the coordinate system tab Select the appropriate State Plane US Foot coordinate system and click Modify Change the name of the coordinate system to something unique, for example ending in IntlFoot In the linear unit drop-down, change the name from Foot_US to Foot Click OK Click Add to Favorites You can not use that spatial reference to project your data collected in US feet to international feet. ... OLE DB providers are provided by the database provider not the client applications connecting to them. If you install a valid OLE DB provider for MySQL you can use that to connect to MySQL databases, this has always been supported.
