Please make it available in ArcMap Catalog and ArcGIS Pro Project Pane. Since 10.x, when Catalog was introduced in ArcMap, the the menu item in the right context menu disappeared. It was was carried over into Pro and the only way to retrieve it in both ArcMap and Pro is to add the data on the map. Should not be that difficult to make it available in the Catalog or the Project panel.

Thanks Colin. The Design part was easy. I'm still used to using ArcCatalog as a standalone and opening the dialog from the app and not using ArcMap to view the dialog. Some old habits are hard to break. .

How can I use Pro with only Portal for ArcGIS as the only portal available for my organization? The only way I can sign in to Pro is with the Portal web adaptor URL is after I sign in with my personal AGOL account and then add the Portal web adaptor on the portal list. Since our Portal has SSO turned on, as soon as the URL is added, the users get signed in. eOur users cannot have an AGOL account as a matter of organizational policy but they all have acces to our internal portal.

Greg, thanks for your reply. The marker is not with the map. I ended up deleting the text associated to the original link, remove the web map configured to the text configured on the main panel, change it to something else (picture or URL). Save it and then redo the link again. Very similar to what you suggested.
