I have an application and services that contain related objects. Is there a way to have the related objects work without having the related objects as tables in the layer list? How can I hide these tables and still have the related objects work. I have had some end user raise concerns about the tables being visible. Anyone have any ideas? Here is a sample:

I have a popup that works well within the application. However, my goal is to tied the popup to a button, where the user must click on the button to activate the popup. I keep getting an error in console mode that states" unexpected identifier and the button does not fire the popup. I have two files, an index.htm and the infoTemplate.js file. Here are snippets of my code: index.htm <script src="js/infoTemplate.js"></script> <!-- Required Application Modules --> require([ "dojo/on", "dijit/registry", "dojo/dom" ], function( on, registry, dom ) // Code Application Function on(dom.byId("btnActivatePopup"), "click", activatePopup); DIV section <button id="btnActivatePopup">PopUp</button> infoTemplate.js require([ "esri/dijit/Popup", "esri/dijit/PopupTemplate" ], function( Popup, PopupTemplate ) function activatePopup() { <all of the popup template code in here> } What is it that I am missing? Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks.

The idea is to add in a table of contents widget for the JavaScript API. Right now, there is the legend, then a layer checklist. These two must be combined to prevent the user from having to toggle back and forth between the checklist and the legend. Allow for the symbology to be displayed right next to the check box. Allow for collapsing/expanding the TOC widget and allow for multiple group layers to be supported. Below is an example: Current end users what an all inclusive TOC and not have to toggle back and forth between two widgets.

We have a web app builder application that works well in both desktop and mobile. We have a popup configured for identifying information on a feature. The problem is that in the mobile environment, the popup tolerance cannot be set by WAB or ArcGIS Online. We have received user feedback that they have to click a few times to get the popup to appear in mobile. To get the popup to appear, you have to click exactly on the point. The enhancement/idea is to add the ability to increase the popup tolerance for the mobile environment, that way a user can tap just outside of the graphic and still get the popup to appear. A mouse click and tap on a device are much different. Bottom line is that the end user must have the best experience in the mobile environment and not have to constantly tap on a feature to get the popup to appear, therefore this is where increasing the popup tolerance will come in handy. If the user constantly has to tap on a feature to get the popup to appear, they will think that the functionality does not work and may be reluctant to ever use the application again. Please give us app developers the ability to increase the tolerance for popups in mobile, if it is 10, 20, or 50 pixels. Mattias, Glad to hear that you are experiencing the same issue. For the mobile environment, the improving the tap tolerance must be improved to provide the end user the best functionality as possible. The problem is, there is no telling when this functionality will be incorporated. Will it be 6 months...will it be 1 year? I really do not want to have to do a bunch of custom development just to make this work and I wanted to focus on the add-ins or other custom tools related to the map. Can we put in an enhancement request? Ian

Derek, Thank you for the comments. I have noticed that the initial extent will show up each time you refresh the map in mobile. However, in a browser in desktop, it does not. Is there a way to return to full extent of the map each time you refresh the map in a browser in desktop?

Thanks you for checking. Glad it works on your end. I still refresh the map and it goes to the previous extent, even after clearing the browser cache. I wonder what I need to look at in my browser? Weird stuff.

I didn't republish the application, but I simply went into the application and made the changes to the code there. Do I actually have to republish the application? I did clear my browser cache, but it still remains in the zoomed extent when refreshed.

I have these lines commented out in the live application in MapManager.js file, but I am still not getting the map to return to full extent. I am using version 1.3, which we downloaded in December 2015. Is there something I am missing?

I have an application in WAB that is working really well. However, a couple of users pointed out that when you perform an identify on the map close to a point, the following message appears: Can I disable this message somewhere in the .js or config files? Also, to activate the popup is there a way to increase the tolerance when the popup is used in mobile? It appears you have to be exactly on the point to get the popup to appear, meaning a user might have to tap several times for the popup to appear for a feature. The No Information popup might be misleading to a person that thinks they are clicking on a feature, but no results are returned. Any suggestions?. Thank you! Ian

Hey Robert, Thanks for the feedback. You mean unrealiable as in? I have been told that the bug has to do with ArcGIS Server 10.1 SP1 and the data not being refreshed as it should. That is the problem. My live application does not do that. The biggest complaint I have had that it isn't in mobile, which we have re-done and will be deployed next week. Here is the live application and if you refresh, you will not see the behavior I described in my first question. Art in Public Places Ian

I have a simple data grid that is populated when the browser is opened. The feature layer displays. However, if you refresh the browser or close the browser and open the application back up, the data grid is not populated and the feature layer does not display. If you refresh the browser again, the data grid displays data and the feature layer displays. I have a work around, but it seems that it is causing issues with my zoom to feature. I am currently using ArcGIS Server 10.1 SP1 with hope to upgrade soon. So here is a sample workflow: 1. Open the browser, datagrid/feature layer displays 2. Refresh the browser, datagrid/feature layer is gone 3. Open the browser, datagrid/feature layer displays 4. Refresh the browser, datagrid/feature layer is gone 5. Open the browser, datagrid/feature layer displays 6. Refresh the browser, datagrid/feature layer is gone Has anyone experienced this issue? Attached is a copy of the simple application. Using an ESRI sample with simple modifications. using the query.where = "1=1"; piece of code on line 110 seems to prevent my issue of having zoom issues to the feature on the map. Any ideas? Thanks. Ian

I have a web app builder application that when you first load the app, the map is shown at full extent. When I zoom into the map, then close or refresh the browser, the map stays at the extent where I zoomed. Is this a bug? I want the map to return to full extent if the browser is refreshed or if the browser is closed, then the app is reopened. I don't want the user having to clear the cache each time they want to view the map. I have also noticed that when I clear browser cache, that the map will also return to the zoomed in extent. I checked my web map at arcgisonline and it displays at full extent. I can zoom in and if the browser is refreshed, the map returns to full extent. Is there something I can do within WAB itself to ensure the map returns to full extent? I do have a home button to return to full extent, but I want the user to have a map at full extent when they open the map. Has anyone else encountered this behavior? Any help or pointers are greatly appreciated. Thank you. Ian
