Good afternoon. Does anyone have any examples of any splash screen put together that loads first, then when you click OK the javascript application loads? I have something put in place, but I have a flashing effect when the application loads that shows the text in the upper left corner before the entire application opens. Here is an example:

Hey Tim, thanks for the response. I tried your suggestion, but I still do not have the map at full extent when the browser is minimized. Here is my code and a screen shot: var startExtent = new Extent(2080000, 216000, 2200000, 280000, new SpatialReference({wkid: 102724})); // MAP map = new esri.Map("map", { extent: startExtent, fitExtent: true, sliderPosition: "top-left", sliderOrientation: "horizontal", sliderStyle: "large", isZoomSlider: true }); Anything else I should try?

Ken, I tried this out and I could not get it to work. Here is the block of code I use for the map: // MAP START EXTENT var startExtent = new Extent(2080000, 216000, 2200000, 280000, new SpatialReference({wkid: 102724})); // MAP map = new esri.Map("map", { extent: startExtent, sliderPosition: "top-left", sliderOrientation: "horizontal", sliderStyle: "large", isZoomSlider: true }); How would I incorporate your suggestion?

Robert, All it does is move the map to the max scale of 1:12000 and centers the current scale in the map. I am just wondering if the map frame can some how adjust according to browser window size? With a dynamic map service, this is not a problem Ian

I have an application that works well, yet I am trying to get the map to appear at full scale when the browser is opened in a minimized window. When the browser is opened at a maximized browser window, the map does appear at full extent. is there a way I can scale the map at full extent when the browser is minimized? I understand that this may be a css issue. Below are samples I am referring to? Browser - Full Extent Browser - Minimized Window Notice the difference? There are going to be users that open their browser in a minimized state, but I want them to be able to see the entire extent of the City. Also, there is a cached base map used. Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for all of the assistance. I was able to solve the issue with all of your input. Lots of great feedback. The splash window looks pretty nice (see below). It matches the application.

Steve, That did the trick: background-image: none !important; I have a solid blue title bar. Going to change the text to white. Thank you much!

Is there an easy way to remove the color gradient? I am still looking for that property. I am all set if I can figure that out. Thanks.

Steve, Thanks. Still struggling with the color gradient and border, but I am close. I guess your sample, allows for removing the gradient? If so, I will try it out. Rickey, the element selector and Chrome is making things much easier

Tim and Rickey, you guys have been a huge help so far. Good stuff so far. Unfortunately, I cannot host this site on the DMZ at this time. I am working on the site on localhost. Here is now how it looks with your suggestions. Just down to a few properties. Does the documentation not cover these properties?

Thanks for the link. By luck, I found these properties. I cannot seem to find a list of properties to change colors for all elements of the dialog window. Here is what I have figured out so far: .claro .dijitDialogUnderlay { background: #000; } .claro .dijitDialogPaneContentArea { background: #f2eee8; } Here is the result. Notice how I still have the blue colors in the dialog window, yet I can put a transparent background underneath the dialog window and change the main content area to a tan color.

Good morning. I have added a splash window to my application as shown below. I am looking to change the colors of the title banner, main text space, bottom banner, button color, and dialog border (see red arrows). I am using the DIV ID's and trying to specify the properties in .css, but I am not getting what I need. Here is a sample of my HTML code: <!-- Application Splash Screen --> <div data-dojo-type="dijit/Dialog" data-dojo-id="dialogWelcome" id="dialogWelcomeTitle" title="City of Edmond, Oklahoma - Survey Monuments" style="width: 600px;"> <table class="dijitDialogPaneContentArea"> <tr> <td> <div id="splashScreenDialogMessage"> This is where the main test goes. <br> </div> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="dijitDialogPaneActionBar"> <div dojotype="dijit.form.Button" id="buttonClose" data-dojo-type="dijit/form/Button" type="button" style="align-content: center" onclick="dialogWelcome.onCancel();">Yes, I Accept</div> <div dojotype="dijit.form.Button" id="buttonExit" data-dojo-type="dijit/form/Button" type="button" style="align-content: center">No, Return to Home</div> </div> </div> I have looked at the dijit guide online for assistance, but have not found what I am looking for. For those who have customized some splash screen windows, can you provide some guidance? Thank you.

Good morning. I currently have an application that contains a nice InfoTemplate, which appears when you click on a feature layer. Is there a way to set the click tolerance for the InfoTemplate? I did not find anything in the API Reference. InfoTemplate | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript When clicking on the map, you have to be right on the center of the point. I am wanting to increase the click tolerance in pixels. Here is a sample from the application and some code. The code behind the InfoTemplate: var infoTemplate = new InfoTemplate(); infoTemplate.setTitle("GPS Monument - ${STATION_NAME}"); infoTemplate.setContent("<b>Description: </b>${DESCRIPTION}<br/><br/>" + "<b>Location: </b>${LOCATION}<br/><br/>" + "<b>Specific Location: </b>${SPECIFIC_LOCATION}<br/><br/>" + "<b>Northing: </b>${NORTHING}<br/>" + "<b>Easting: </b>${EASTING}<br/>" + "<b>MSL Elevation: </b>${MSL_ELEVATION}<br/>" + "<b>Status: </b>${STATUS}<br/>" + "<b>Data Sheet: <a href= ${HYPERLINK} target=_blank ;'>Click for Document</a><br><br>"); Any ideas on how to increase the click tolerance? Thank you!

Ken, I noticed when you change to the 3.13 API that the Measurement Tool disappears from the floating pane. Have you noticed the same behavior?
