You mean something like this? http://maps.eastdevon.gov.uk/mapping/general/ (soon to be upgraded, which is why it isn't perfect) I adapted something I found here, but can't seem to find now - the old link was http://resources.esri.com/arcgisserver/apis/javascript/arcgis/index.cfm?fa=codeGalleryDetails&scriptID=16323 - but that doesn't seem to work. You need a JSON file of the extents - I found setting that up the hardest. ACM Edit found new link http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=16323

Hi In the JavaScript API (and in fact the main desktop) you can specify a click tolerance for the ID tool - are there any plans to enable us to somehow specify on our web maps the tolerance for mobile taps - my maps use mainly point data - getting the exact point with a chunky finger is proving a bit difficult Ta ACM

Thanks for that - after posting I had a quick go at the loop/multiple Id tasks and it did what I wanted without too much hacking of the code. I need to include a bit of logic to exclude duplicate answers - I'll remember the other way for next time.

As title really - I am trying to run an automated search. An input ref is passed to the map service - this finds existing features. It adds these as graphic layers using Find Task. If only one feature is found, this is passed to a Identify Task that searches loads of other layers. This all works for a single polygon, but not for multi polygons - The features in the original layer (the one that gets searched with the Find Task) are NOT multi polygon features polygons, but multiple records with the same reference (not my design - I'm hacking into another system) Any ideas? I have been playing with this code http://warblingdiode.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/watermarking-your-maps-with-esri-arcgis.html?m=1 To add watermarks - I was putting it all in the init function, rather than the onload - saw this post, moved it, and it all works. Now of course Esri will probably add a watermark feature in the next release or something, but who cares 😄 ACM

Cheers - I'm pretty sure I tried all combinations of where and how to declare the variable. I'll try it all later when I'm at work, although I think overnigt, I've decided to re-do it using an identify task as there will be other layers I want to check against, which may vary. Ta ACM
