Just wanted to follow up on this. We would like to see the Assignee drop down (both the Working and Not Working sections) ordered by either FirstName or LastName (any order will do) rather than the random order that is present now. At any given time we have 20+ Working users and it is an annoyance to for the need to read every name in the drop down to find the worker that you want. If the list of employees were ordered, the user can quickly locate the desired worker. Thanks for considering this enhancement. - Jake

Hi David, Our QA/QC processes take place in our database (we ETL surveys and assignments out of our Portal into our database every day for long term storage) so our database procedures would probably not be helpful. But from a business logic perspective we look for a few things: Survey has been submitted, and the Workforce assignment has not be 'Finished' If Assignment status < 3, email inspector that they need to 'Finish' the in Workforce assignment If Assignment status > 3, email inspector explaining that they have declined or cancelled the assignment and submitted a survey, these two actions are incongruent and a clarification needs to occur Workforce assignment has been 'Finished' and no survey has been submitted Multiple surveys have been submitted for the same Workforce assignment Your application of these will differ from ours, but conceptually, this is what we are looking for. - Jake

We use FME server to consume the Survey123 webhooks and run ETL processes when new surveys are submitted. It seems reliable, we have around 25 surveys, each with a webhook that FME 'listens' to and launches various ETL processes when surveys are submitted. I have noticed a few instances (maybe 5 out of 5000 records) of a webhook not firing (or rather, the FME ETL process did not run as expected). We did not spend time to chase down why , just manually executed the ETL and moved on. I have no other webhook experiences other than FME server, but it works well as a trigger to ETL data after a survey has been submitted... - Jake

Great question!! We also face these same challenges. Our current solution is to run QA/QC processes nightly to look for Surveys with open WF assignments, Finished WF Assignments without submitted Surveys, declined WF Assignments with submitted Surveys and sniffing for duplicate Survey submissions. This process is after the fact and we would prefer to have a solution that enforces these business rules (1 Finished Workforce Assignment + 1 Submitted Survey = Completed Inspection) on the front end. Another solution that we have explored has been to set up Webhooks on our surveys so that a submitted survey would fire a webhook that updates the Workforce Assignment to 'Finished', but this solution also has pitfalls, and only handles one of the conditions I listed above. @CrazyGIS thanks for bringing this up. This has been a pain point that we have been living with as well. - Jake

Hi @Anonymous User, Thanks for investigating and it is re-assuring to see that you were unable to re-create the issue, that tells us that we should expect to be able to delete assignments from the Assignments service and not adversely affect the Workforce project. At this point it is difficult to speculate on how our Workforce project got wrecked, but we have been experiencing sync issues since we deleted assignments. We are going to create a new Workforce project and migrate to a new project rather than focusing on fixing our existing project. Again, thanks for confirming that we should be able to delete assignments without adverse affects. - Jake

OVERVIEW: My organization just migrated from Workforce Classic to Workforce and we have implemented a process to delete Assignments from Workforce and after this process runs, the field users are unable to sync. In order to retrieve new assignments, the field users must reload the field app on their iOS device. BUSINESS CASE: We delete closed, cancelled, and declined assignments from the Workforce Assignments feature service after they have been in that state for more than 2 weeks (and have been sync'd with our onsite corporate repository) to reduce our storage footprint and make the Workforce Dispatcher map easier to use. ISSUE DETAILS: What we have noticed is that users that have had an assignment deleted are unable to sync after the delete has taken place. They initiate a sync on the field app, but the sync never finishes (usually takes 10-30 seconds to sync) after waiting 5 minutes plus, no sync occurs. If the field user 'reloads' the project, subsequent syncs occur. QUESTION: We have paused our delete automation because we don't want to force our users to reload the project daily or even weekly. Is this expected behavior? Should we expect to reload the project on field devices if records are deleted from the Workforce Assignments service? Thanks for the input... - Jake

Hello, We would like to change the Assignment symbology for the Workforce Workers app for Assignments that have a Status of 'Assigned' and a Priority of 'Critical' so that these assignments are more visible on the mobile app for workers. We use the following arcade expression to add the new status value (for symbology purposes) and then symbolize in the Workers map. This result meets our expectations when viewing the Worker map in the map viewer, but when opening the Workforce project on a mobile device, the symbol next to the assignment in the assignment list is not present. Just wondering if it is even possible to manipulate the symbols in the Workforce Workers App? Thanks for the information @DougBrowning. I just compared the Survey123 desktop app to the iOS mobile and using the tab and spacebar functionality on the desktop app to populate a form is something that the mobile workers that I am representing would find helpful if it were available on the iOS version version of the mobile app. thanks, - Jake

Does Survey123 have the ability to skip move through questions in the form using the TAB button? In our specific case, our mobile users have tablets with keyboard attachments and they would find value in using the tab button to advance the form to the next input box. Thanks, - Jake

Thanks for the reply Zachary, We have tried using the domain code instead of the label and the behavior is that the domain code initially populated for .5 second, then gets overwritten when the choices load from the table. Hello, We are authoring a survey using Survey123 Connect version 3.12.232. This survey contains a 'Select One' question and the Choice List is being pulled from a hosted feature layer with an 'Autocomplete Search' appearance. The components are working as expected with the exception of the default value that we have provided in the default column. When watching the form load, it seems that the question is initially populated with the default value, then quickly gets overwritten as the choice list from the hosted feature layer is loaded. Just wanted to understand if we should expect a default value to work when we are using a select one question with a choice list that is being loaded from a hosted feature layer?? Thanks, - Jake
