I have ArcGIS for Server 10.3.1 installed on a vm with Windows Server 2012. I am using a Web Adaptor on my web server which is on a different machine. I am using Active Directory for my user store, ArcGIS authentication and roles. This is an intermittent error meaning sometimes my credentials work and sometimes they don't! Here is a screen capture of the error in ArcGIS Server Manager. We do not have HTTPS set-up. This problem happens when I try to log into ArcGis Server Manager. I enter my credentials and get an error that says my username and password are not correct. I hit the Login button again and get the same thing. I get in after 2 or 3 or more tries but I do get in without reentering my credentials so they are correct. Here is a screen capture of the error: I also have some secured services that go through a proxy to display for the public website. Sometimes my users are challenged for credentials and sometimes they are not. This process uses a proxy but displays the same error in the log file so I believe it is the same issue. The proxy does not use the Active Directory because I have a local user credentials in the proxy. I have discussed this with ESRI technical support and the answer is that there is a communication issue between my Active Directory server and my ArcGIS Server. That is just great but I can not find it and I have been looking and my IS folks have been looking! Has anyone else run into this issue? Has anyone solved it? Are there any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks, Janice.

The Geoprocessing/SecuredBasicPrinting.GPServer is a geoprocessing script that I published following the tutorial by esri. I do not have port 443 in my bindings for my web site and understand that I could add it but the question has more to do with WHY is the print service trying to access a token through https? And should I just ignore this error? But why is my print service failing intermittently? Thanks, Janice.

Hey Bryan, I have no idea if or when ESRI is going to take care of this. I just got the bug number and have not heard anything else. Janice.

This is a bug: BUG-000094062 - Printing secure services utilizing the arcpy.mapping.ConvertWebMapToMapDocument() function, the "extra_conversion_options" dictionary & the "SERVER_CONNECTION_FILE" key as a Geoprocessing Service will always produce a blank output

I am trying to print secured services using arcpy.Mapping.ConvertWebMapToMapDocument. I am unable to provide the proper connection information to the secured service. Here is what I get in the results when I try to run: I am able to use Export Web Map Task for basic printing and can print secured services. I added the connection info to the Export Web Map Task. Now I am trying to modify the AdvancedHighQuailityPrinting demo but have not been able to correctly provide the connection info. I am following the information in the Help documentation for ConvertWebMapToMapDocument and am providing the same connection information that I used for basic printing: I have tried adding the connection information on the gis server and on my local machine. In what format do I need to provide the connection information? Where does the connection information need to be? The GIS Server, the web server, the local machine? I am using ArcGIS 10.3.1. Thanks, Janice.

Hi Michael, I am not sure about AGOL and do not have an answer for you... just a suggestion. When you are able to add the cache levels below 1128, set the option to allow the cache to be generated on the fly. That way you are not spending 29+ hours generating an entire level of tiles when there may only be a few areas that will actually be visited at that level. This will save you time and disk space! Janice.

You all nailed it! I went ahead and used union and used the resulting multipoint to query the polygons. I suppose I could have just created a multipoint from my points as suggested by Robert but was well into my union code before reading his response. If you are interested, here is the code: require(["dojo/_base/array","esri/tasks/query","esri/geometry/geometryEngine", "esri/SpatialReference"], function (array, Query, GeometryEngine, SpatialReference) { var urlParcelMap = dataLink + "/Assessor/PropertyMap/MapServer/"; var arrayOutFields = ["PNUMBER"]; initQueryTask(urlParcelMap, 4, arrayOutFields); query.where = "PNUMBER IN (" + searchString + ")"; var pnums = queryTask.execute(query); pnums.then(function (fset) { var pts = array.map(fset.features, function (feature) { return feature.geometry; }); var union = esriConfig.defaults.geometryService.union(pts); union.then(function (results) { arrayOutFields = ["PARCELID"]; initQueryTask(urlParcelMap, 5, arrayOutFields); query.spatialRelationship = Query.SPATIAL_REL_INTERSECTS; query.geometry = results; queryTask.execute(query, showCompQueryResults); }); }); });

I have a list of id's that I use to select points with matching id's. I then want to use the selected points to select all of the polygons which contain them. I am using a querytask with a where clause to select the points. Now I am not sure how to go about selecting the polygons. Do I need to step through the set of points and use each point geometry individually to select the polygon which contains it? Any ideas welcome!

I am trying to project coordinates in an asp.net page by calling a geometry service through the rest api. I am using the geometry service at "http://tasks.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Geometry/GeometryServer/project". I want to convert from stateplane x,y to latitude, longitude. Here is a screen shot: Am I doing something wrong? is it possible to project from NAD_1983_2011_StatePlane...(103180) to GCS_NAD_1983_2011 (6318)? Thanks for any help! Janice.

Robert, I have determined (I think) that this is an issue between IE10 and IE11. The code you shared works in IE11 and not in IE10. It also works in Firefox. Since most of my "internal" users are going to IE10, I will not be including the "Flag.png" that my boss asked for at this time... He will need to get used to the new weird point symbol used in the Measurement Widget! It would however be nice to use a custom symbol and have it work in all browsers. Thanks for the help on this! Janice.

Hey Robert, The app is not currently public... at least not the version I am working on. I am trying to upgrade to 3.13 before pushing it out to the public. Our public version is at 3.9... Skagit County iMap . I am using your suggestion of console.info(measurement) to investigate the object but can not find where the changes are getting may by the code you provided. I am assuming that this line of code: query(".esriLocationResultSymbol > *")[1]; finds the second occurrence of the class in the widget. Is there an easy way to locate this in the console. I am using ie11.... I suppose I should try firefox for different developer tools. How / Where did you find .esriLocationResultSymbol? Maybe I can use something more generic so it works on my users workstations and not just mine. Still thinking on it, Janice.

Robert, This solution only works on my development machine. When I have other people run my application, they do not get the resized image in the measurement results. They still get the itty-bitty one. I'm done for the day, will look at it again tomorrow. thanks, Janice.
