Tim, you are correct, the planner is not available in the browser, anymore....or at least at the moment.  It was there a couple days ago because I was using it.  So, it maybe there was a glitch they are fixing (i.e. the jumping to the top of the list after each selection??), and hopefully it will be back up.  The app on the ipad is still working for me however.  not sure that it would be easy on a iphone or a small screen, but I like it on the ipad. maybe Karen Richardson can give an update? ...just saw another post from you.... to comment (from my perspective) on some of it... 1. I know the ipad version can save to a calender (.ical ?) so I'm guessing maybe it ca be shared. 2.  Use the filter (and search too, if in ipad) to find the session 3.  I miss that part on the app too, but I think the browser version lists alternate times 4. I would sure like that too...that is, the old printed agenda look, but this is a whole new, rewritten app I think, and compared to last year's, it is much better (Although I thought the one two years ago was better than this one.  However, if it can be added to the device's calendar (ical), then I think that is the replacement for the calendar view. ...I would love to be able to print out a "short" version showing all my choices to an (editable) PDF, so I can have an easily accessible version, and to modify it for what I did attend for handing into with the trip report.  It may not be one button, but this is better than copying and pasting the entire agenda and trying to clena it up (but a download or the full PDF would also be beneficial) ... I thought maybe the problem with the bad one was filename length....which still may be an issue...but I copied the files and renamed them to cowreg3 and that didn't help.  I also just made a copy of the .dbf file and looked at is in ArcCatalog and it is also empty (but a copy of the good .dbf has one record). I think that it may really be courrpt, but there are some old scripts that are supposed to help fix corrupt shapefiles....I haven't used them so I do not know it they work.  I did a browser search for "repair shapefile" and this is just one of the links Shapefile Repair Tool Might be worth a try. BTW I have a script/tool (not posted yet) to walk thru all the folders and spit out a .csv and excel sheet of all the broken links.  In case you want to see what the problem layers may be....maybe these bad shapes aren't even being used . ?? ... interesting that the size of all the shapefile files are 1kb.  I wonder if these were edited or open when the machine crashed and they were corrupted that way?  But hopefully your USB is ok! ... View more

It may help to share this with Geodatabase  since, although ArcSDE is grouped with ArcGIS Server, I think the Geodatabase people might have more info on SQL permissions. ... View more

I found the browser version reset to the top of the page, but the iOS app stayed in place.  Once I clicked on a day, I let it fully load (which took a minute) before looking thru the agenda.  Time of day and network speed did seem to play some roll in how fast this loaded. Check out the Filter (and search on the app) options for narrowing down the list on the agenda for selecting. There are a few other hints users have provided in similar threads, including using the mouse scroll but to open in a new tab (I haven't tried this). ... View more

I wrote a comparison for .net vs. java (before the current web adapter model) back in 2007 which is still in the forum archives Java or .NET  that might be helpful. But if I remember correctly, starting in 10.2 or 10.2.2 there was only one version.  That is, you no longer have to specify the flavor you want.  But maybe you are asking IIS vs another (JAVA) web server, in which case, I can't be of much help. However, I know in our situation, I have Server with web adapter in IIS, and therefore our services are served thru IIS. However, the web folks do not us IIS (not sure what web server they use) and they are able to access my services without any issues, although we did need to set up a proxy for the cross platform and to access our secure service). As for Web Adapter, I personally recommend it for a number of reasons, unless everything is going to be totally in house so you can refer to the server name. ... View more
