This may not fix your issue, but make sure you have the latest patches on the server, including https://support.esri.com/en/Products/Enterprise/arcgis-server/ArcGIS-Server/10-6#downloads?id=7576 It says it is for 10.6, but other versions are on that same link.

As with any conference (Dev or UCs), there are some general tips.. dress in layers. I tend to be comfortable in most of the rooms (coming from the north), but others may be cold. But one breaks, if you go outside it will be warm. Wear comfortable shoes. Although the Dev Summit does not cover the same real estate footprint of the UC, you will still be doing a lot of walking. If you plan to purchase something in the book store, browse early. And don't delay a purchase if it is something you really want. Things do sell out. Dev Summit specific. All snacks, coffee, etc. are in the Primose Lobby (same location as registration and bookstore, outside of Oasis rooms. In the past couple of years, coffee, tea, etc. has been available all day, not just between sessions. Smaller crowd than the UC (and paid attendance, vs being part of registration annual maintenance), so that is nice. I'm hoping that is the same this year. They have handed out free samples of sunscreen at lunch the first day. Sun is intense, so take a couple even if you don't normally need it. That's it for now. Maybe that will get more tips flowing.

ya, sorry. My responses must have shown up out of order for you. The other was to "Guest User" ...which might be a legit name, but didn't tag them direct. Good luck on your other question. There are many user willing to help.

You may want to post your question in https://community.esri.com/groups/ocean there seems to be a few posts re: "erosion" in that location. Please see https://community.esri.com/community/help-and-feedback/blog/2016/08/15/community-news-and-tips-how-to-ask-questions-and-get-answers?sr=search&searchId=b7cb04ca-7f78-4417-a55a-9e1ea312f0ee&searchIndex=0 for some tips on asking questions and putting them in community that is better suited to answer.

This is not a thread where you want to post questions. This was an announcement from years ago when they added the "chat" to support services. If you have a question for the forums, check out https://community.esri.com/community/help-and-feedback/blog/2016/08/15/community-news-and-tips-how-to-ask-questions-and-get-answers?sr=search&searchId=b7cb04ca-7f78-4417-a55a-9e1ea312f0ee&searchIndex=0 and some of the other links under the GeoNet Help link https://community.esri.com/community/help-and-feedback But do not post in GeoNet Help. If you have a specific question that the forums can not help and you are current on maintenance, that is when you would call tech support or use the "chat",

Not trying to discourage the use of WAB, but I wonder if AppStudio for ArcGIS already fills that need? That lets you write once and export to multiple native apps.

Thanks for the refresher....yes, that is what we did (i.e., the step before the graphic above) If I remember correctly, we had to make sure we have the correct read/write permission on the folder, although creating above might have set it. We set a clean up mode, but my note said our web guys control that. I can't remember exactly. This does seem to be working for us. This thread is nice, because we will have to test this all out again soon ourselves, as we hope to move to new servers and 10.5.1 in the next couple weeks. So, I'll know if we are missing a step at that time. fwiw, if you want to see what happens from a user's perspective, choose one of the "custom map" options Alaska Hunting Maps by Species, Alaska Department of Fish and Game and test the print. edit: btw, if it isn't apparent above, our path is a UNC path. I just blanked the server name.

We have a static folder for our print server service, but I don't think the file name is static. Besides having a proxy, we have a parameter set for the path (we are still on AGS 10.2.2 ...in the process of updating) See if this will work for you See the Parameter-> Directories for your GP print service. edit...btw, not sure how to modify this with python...we do it manually.

You would be better off creating this as a question in the https://community.esri.com/community/gis/enterprise-gis/arcgis-enterprise?sr=search&searchId=3c6e85ef-1682-49d6-99f5-d2fc0dbe8800&searchIndex=0 or https://community.esri.com/community/gis/enterprise-gis?sr=search&searchId=3c6e85ef-1682-49d6-99f5-d2fc0dbe8800&searchIndex=1 (not sure which is the correct one right now...but I just tagged them both). For one, questions will get more views and responses than a blog post, and two, the Technical Support space doesn't always get a lot of responses. If you actually need tech support, best to call. The forums are mainly manned by users like you (which is a good thing) and many esri staff that are active here....but not necessarily the actual technical support staff.

Thanks for providing that info about Citrix and the python combobox. We have other issues with newer versions of Citrix and ArcGIS, but I don't remember the exact issues and/or if it was Receiver or XenDesktop. It's one of those things you don't think to check right away, but as we seem to be moving to the VM direction more, it is good to remember this. Things are circling once again.... back to the old central computer and "dumb" terminals (although the new VM boxes aren't all that dumb).

I don't know that it matters, as long as it is always available. We actually have 3 LM (virtual) servers that pretty much only have the LM software on it (i.e. each is dedicated). That way we can reboot those individually, but not be affected by reboots of the Server software. We have 3 because we wanted to 1) isolate license that can be borrowed for offline use (Desktop) and the option file never works to the degree we need for this; 2) one for the general gis users, and 3) for the GIS fulltime staff. So, we do have them separate from our base software, but it isn't absolutely necessary. Again, it could be run on a lightweight desktop OS, it doesn't have to be a server os, but in our office it tends to be auto-booted less if its a server. BTW - we also have some concurrent Pro licenses on the LM (i.e. more local that using ArcGIS Online named user). But they haven't been used much, yet.

I have a config.json that I am editing for a customized flash widget. "Flash" as in Flex? I don't know if that would be the issue or not. Web AppBuilder is actually built with JavaScript and is a replacement for the Flex viewer which is/has-been depreciated. Maybe you just said the wrong word, but worth mentioning. But, it may just be a missing < or > ....check the lines above it. BTW - working with AK Fish and Game, I'll be checking out your web site.

Maybe they have some extra characters or spaces or some other issue within the field too. But to eliminate any issues with the software, try running one of the other students "good" spreadsheets on this this machine, and one of the "bad" spreadsheets on a machine that worked. But my guess is, beside the possible confusion on the names (although I use long/lat), maybe there are some additional characters at the end? or an extra dot, etc. For example, if using DMS, maybe there was a forth set of numbers that isn't showing (column not wide enough?). Anyway, although I haven't tested my own on 10.5.1, seems like if it was a bug, it would have been reported already (popular tool). I would suggest uploading a sample of the bad spreadsheet so others here can test.
