Greetings All, Apologies for my silence on GeoNet. I had been trolled on one of my other posts and lost my enthusiasm of participation. I will be more active going forward. I have posted an update that fixes the issues caused by a JSAPI update the broke the way I count segments for placing measurement text graphics. Roberts fixes were spot on as usual. I fixed editing measurements as well, so those have been added to the latest update. There is still an issue with the last vertex drawn when editing. There is a bug in the ESRI JSAPI that is adding a ghost vertex to the end of each polygon or polyline, so moving that last vertex doesn't work properly. I have a support call in with ESRI to look at this problem, but most likely it won't be fixed until the next API release at the earliest and then WAB will have to use that release to allow me to fix the measure widget editing capability completely. I wanted everyone to be aware of this issue. Best Regards, Tom

Greetings, I have moved our AVL data feed to our GeoEvent Server which writes all position data to the STBDS. This works very well. I have a couple of JSAPI apps that can do queries and display historical tracks very quickly. My latest task is to look at vehicle tracks outside of our city boundary for a larger range of dates. I have used ArcGIS Pro, but it quickly limits me to 100,000 records, which is the service limit. How do I get access to a larger amount of features? Can I access the database directly? Or is using the STBDS the wrong way to store AVL Data? If I had this in an enterprise database, I would probably be done querying the subset of data I need already... Thanks very much for any assistance! Regards, Tom

I could see this also being used in an Urban Planning context. Our planners would love to have a 3D map of project areas.

One of the coolest features is the interactive charts and map that let you filter the features displayed on the dashboard map. My idea would either add a menu button that would allow you to configure an export of the features to a shapefile or CSV. Or have the embedded content widget extended to allow you to work with the selected features collectively instead of one feature at a time. That way you could have a JS app that you could code and embed that would allow you to loop through all the selected features. This would allow you to do an export or other types of analysis with the data that are yet available.

Rich, I am using the edit toolbar in my code, not the draw toolbar. I had tried this in some testing and the tool tips persisted. Tom

Carissa, The measure widget makes use of the JS API's edit toolbar. There is no option to turn off the tooltip. Regards, Tom

Greetings, I am implementing real-time position reporting from our Sierra Wireless gateways using the GeoEvent Server. I found an issue with TAIP LN - TAIP0xF2 message translator and posted the issue on github a while back, but have not gotten any response that would fix the issue. The fix appears to be pretty simple. Here is the link on github: Incorrectly calculating the latitude · Issue #2 · Esri/trimble-for-geoevent · GitHub ESRI support suggested that I post this on geonet as it may be more visible. It would be ideal for the translator to be fixed as ESRI is getting ready to release the TAIP connector on the GeoEvent gallery very soon. I would be available to assist in any testing on our server as well. Here is the link to the connector on the gallery: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8513241a8c9445339d108185642f7af9 Thanks very much! Regards, Tom

Bjorn, It definitely works on 3.X versions. I am trying to port a public safety app that uses the directions dijit into 4.x and this is as far as I have gotten. The service URL is: Route (NAServer) Thanks very much! Regards, Tom

Greetings, I am trying to use the directions widget in JSAPI 4.7 with our own route service, but when doing this the widget won't load. I realize that this widget is still in beta, but I am wondering if I am missing something in the configuration setup or maybe my ArcGIS Server, needs to be a certain version for this to work. Here is the simple code I am using: var dirWidget = new Directions({
view: view,
routeServiceUrl: "https://<<link to working route service>>",
container: "directionsDiv"
}); The result is: Thanks very much for any feedback! Regard, Tom
