I don't have access to ArcGIS Server 10.3 or latest. So when Hosted services published using ArcGIS Portal is done, I assume it creates service on ArcGIS server in hosted folder. Questions: Is it same like other services that we publish using ArcGIS server, (Process model, Memory consumption ) Request to these Hosted services is processed at ArcGIS server or portal level Can I change the properties of these hosted services in service editor of ArcGIS server

I'm thinking to follow below steps for Migrating from oracle 11g to 12c 1. Create a dump from existing oracle 11g 2. Restore this dump as plugable db in oracle 12c 3. Connect to database using oracle instant client 4. Upgrade the geodatabase in ArcCatalog using properties window.

In our setup we want to federate arcgis server with portal and we want SAML authentication using ADFS. We have HA architecture both at arcgis server and portal. We have our Hardware load balancer. So my questions is, to Support SSO with ADFS do we need web adapter at argis server and portal level (Web authentication).

Hi Nicolas, What was your final solution?. Since we are using ADFS for IDP and we non-arcgis application also. They work perfectly with ADFS but I wonder why not ArcGIS Services. Shafi

Thanks for you reply After going through the link Methods to move a geodatabase in SQL Server—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Currently we don't have latest version of Arcgis or sql but we are going to have it soon. so I'm just wondering. 1. Will this is applicable also for upgrade from MS SQL 2008 and Arc sde 10 to latest version of Sql server and ArcSde ( In case we decide to use it) 2. Do we need to do some extra steps to use this data in Arcmap and publish services from Arcgis server. Yes we want to choose between SDE Binary and Geometry. It will be appreciated if you can which one is preferred and some advantages and disadvantages like 1. Will Arcobjects will work on SDE Binary, Geometry.

Currently we are using ArcDesktop 10, ArcGIS server 10 and ArcSDE 10 along MS SQL 2008 64 bit sp2 now we are going to upgrade Arcgis desktop, server to latest version and we are also planning to Migrate fro MS SQL 2008 to MS SQL 2014 or any latest stable version. 1. Hi Derek Law Thanks for your answer Having said that but If I try to logout using ArcGIS Portal though it gives me message "You've been successfully signed out" and redirects me to https://agsportal.abc.org/portal/sharing/rest/oauth2/signout But when I hit ->https://agsportal.abc.org/portal/home/index.html -> then Click on "Sign In" ->https://agsportal.emisk.org/portal/home/signin.html=In Sign in to Portal for ArcGIS options I chose "Using your abc account" then it directly opens https://agsportal.emisk.org/portal/home/index.html without asking username and password. Ideealy it should direct me to ADFS sign in page
