In the course of automating my processes, I noticed that the storage format "EXPLODED" parameter is not being honored in a stand alone python script. Every time I run the tool, it always outputs ".bundle" files. It is supposed to output a folder structure with many ".png" image files. import arcpy
arcpy.ExportTileCache_management(
"G:\GIS\Projects\Tile_Cache\GUI_packed_tile_cache\Map",
"G:\GIS\Projects\Tile_Cache",
"python_exploded_tile_cache",
"TILE_CACHE",
"EXPLODED", <----------DOES NOT WORK, seems to only use "COMPACT"/"COMPATV_V2"
(288895.277144, 144447.638572, 72223.819286, 36111.909643, 18055.954822, 9027.977411),
"G:\GIS\Projects\Tile_Cache\Tile_Features2.gdb\aoi"
) This tool seems to work fine using the GUI in ArcGIS Pro. This is ok, I guess, but my workflow involves many other steps, which are all automated in Python. Using the exact same parameters and inputs, I have two different results: Running the tool using the GUI in ArcGIS Pro, the output is correct: However, using a stand alone python script, the tiles are not exploded. Instead, they are still packed in a ".bundle" file. Note: I've tried this with the input tile cached created with both the ArcGIS Pro GUI "Managed Tile Cache" tool and the stand alone "arcpy.ManageTileCache_management()" tool, which works as it's supposed to in both cases.

Whenever I'm using either the Select or Explore tools to navigate and select feature, ArcGIS Pro 2.3 will switch and/or break the functionality. This was rare in 2.2, but now it breaks within 5 minutes of opening the software--every time. Specifically: 1. click Select tool 2. select a feature 3. click somewhere in any open attribute table. The selected tool change to the Measure tool 4. click the map 5. now the select tool pans the map The mouse cursor is still the Select tool, until I click on the map, where it will change to the closed hand cursor until I release the mouse button. It only pans the map, as I still have to select Explore if I want to identify features. Even though the Measure tool appears to be selected at this point, you cannot measure anything. To Return to Normal: 0. the Clear button clears the selection, but does not fix the situation 1. click the Select tool again to select features or the Explore to identify features To Measure features: 1. click either the Select or Explore tool to reset the bug 2. click the Measure tool Sometimes, when I'm using the Explore tool, it suddenly starts selecting features instead of panning the map. This is less common, and I don't have a specific use case to recreate it, but it's still related and worth mentioning. Kory Kramer

Whenever I edit a feature, the attribute table resets. All of the sizing and positioning, just suddenly vanish. This is obviously a bug, but is anyone else encountering this? Kory Kramer

Since 2.2 the ArcGIS Pro Distance tool automatically converts when you change the unit. This is horribly annoying. How can I change it? I don't want to change the number, I want to change the unit. Changing how this tool works was a poor decision. arcgispro 2.2. distance bad design #help please #need fix

I guess that's it. It hasn't happened since converting to a FGDB. This is still annoying because no matter what I do on my end, I can never really get away from shapeflles, since this is still the standard in how data is traded and posted.

Why do i get this error so often when I try to Select By Attribute? It seems like I have to click on the Attribute Table window I want to Select first, then execute the Select Layer by Attribute tool to prevent Arc from giving me this error, even though the Layer I want to Select is already selected in the tool. Every time, I have to re-open the Attribute Table, re-position and re-sort it. Abstract-Surveys is a File GeoDatabase on a drive and RTN is a shapefile on a completely different drive. #posting question #display error #attribute select #table navigation #select layer by attribute #arcgis pro 2.1.1

As you can see in the video, the Direction-Distance tool draws the line in the opposite direction from what I'm typing. It seems to be ignoring the NSEW calls in favor of the relative mouse cursor position. In this video, you can see that the Direction/Length tool in ArcMap is working fine. Here are my current settings I spend most of my day mapping metes and bounds tracts in Texas, so having this single tool broken is more than just an inconvenience. arcgis pro 2.1 arcmap 10.6 broken direction-distance tool error tool not behaving correctly please help!!!!!
