Hi There, We have a map with multiple data frames, when opening from wmx only the first data frame zooms to AOI, can we make wmx zoom all the data frames to the AOI? Also we do see behaviour when the map doesn't zoom to the AOI - has anyone else seen this? Running 10.0 SP 4 Thanks, Fraser

Hi There, This would be possible to achieve if you were willing to split it into a couple of steps. If you wanted to apply definition queries to a map before opening you could do the following: Firstly have a step that runs a python script (LaunchGP), which can utilise arcpy.mapping to manipulate the layers within the map - including adding a definition query to a layer. You could then either resave the map document or save it as a new map with the job number. Note that you can pass tokens through to the python script. Then you can have a second step which launches the newly saved map document with the definition queries applied (LaunchArcMap). Thanks, Fraser

Hi, Has anyone seen setting not sticking in the workflow design? I have steps where I set the job status, and ok -> ok, yet when I check the step again the status has not been set. I have also seen the step can be skipped check and automatically execute check also not save settings. Has anyone experienced this? Is it something to do with the size of the workflow? It's a bit frustrating as now I have to check every step at least twice, and I have to set the same properties on steps 2 or three times before the finally stick. Running 10 SP4 Thanks, Fraser

Hi There, Has another seen this? Say you have a rather long field alias on an extended property, like 'Review Civil Quantities and BoM Sheet Assign By:' the label runs into the actual UI control, overlapping text boxes, date fields etc etc. Bit weird as when running in a reasonable resolution I have about 2 kms of empty space on the right of the extended properties tab. i have a custom step, i need to debug process but in arcmap i run to flow and step custom don´t see code i need run debug Open your visual studio project, run wmx.exe or arcmap.exe. Once these are running under the debug menu in vs selected the attach to process and selected arcmap.exe or wmx.exe - you can then debug your step.

Hi There, Has anyone seen their job status being reset when a job gets reassigned? Mine keep being set to 'Working' as the job travels through the workflow. We are setting specific status' on jobs and this is breaking our reporting. If anyone has seen it have you got a fix? Workaround even? Thanks, Fraser

Hi Fraser, The first two tokens that you list in your example ([CUR_USER],[CUR_NT_USER]) are old tokens that are still supported for backwards compatibility. Hi Kevin, Thanks for that. This was slightly confusing as you are still using these older tokens in the OOTB activities etc, and use the other tokens in some tasks without explaining the use etc. So we cannot reuse any of the [VERSION] etc in any activities we create? Hi Kevin, I had tried that, if I delete the activity type then I get an error when executing the job from the workflow. Thanks, Fraser EDIT: This is the error: [ATTACH=CONFIG]14734[/ATTACH] It happens as soon as I delete the activity (in this case StartStepExec) , create a new job and execute a step. Ta, F

Hi There, Has anyone seen this? In our web client on the workflow we get a whole heap of additional junk lines through the workflow diagram. See below for comparison btw web client and desktop. IS this something to do with the Flex rendering? Thanks, F [ATTACH=CONFIG]14682[/ATTACH]

Hi There, I'm trying to use a domain on a linked property (1:m) however seeing this behaviour: In the job properties we can set the domain on the field just fine as per related props (1:1) However when trying to add a record to our job and entering a value into the table a) we don't get a domain dropdown and b) we do get: [ATTACH=CONFIG]14681[/ATTACH] Note this doesn't stop us updating the field, but we don't get the normal domain behaviour.
