I really need the overview map as an inset. I am wanting to migrate something from ArcView and need to keep it simple for the user.

I would like to include an inset box that displays an overview map when the user prints it. Here is may app that has print functionality in it: maps.decaturil.gov/decaturPrintMulti ‌ Click on the hammer. Click on the printer. And then the print dialog comes up. I would like to include a checkbox with a default checked to include the overview map. Any ideas?

Hi Robert, I've got that book, Master Dojo; It was excellent. I wish they would have written another for AMD.

I attended one in 2012. I can't attend one this year, but I would recommend that anyone that needs Dojo training to attend the training sitepen.

I'm not totally following this example here: Display identify results in popup | ArcGIS API for JavaScript but it does highlight a parcel using the identify task. I just don't see how it selects. Any ideas Rene Rubalcava‌ ?

Hopefully a working sample will help you. I'm not sure on yours, but I based my working code on Esri's print task sample too. I tried it on Windows Server 2008 Standard R2 and Windows XP SP3 and the page loaded on both machines. When I get home, I can try it on my Windows 8 machine. If it loads on there, maybe you can at least rule out the OS. Have you considered referencing the JavaScript API 3.12 and also 3.10 to see if that makes a difference?

For me it would help if the full JavaScript were there including your require statements and web services. Are you able to post the whole page?

Have you also thought about creating custom widgets for the JavaScript API as well; I wouldn't mind learning and helping create widgets in that area, but I'm not sure how to create one on my own yet.

I had some trouble with the one that Tim Witt‌ referenced, but a lot of other people seem to be doing okay with the widget. If you have trouble with it you can also try out Rene Rubalcava‌ who wrote a post on how to make a TOC - How to make a ToC
