Hello. I am wanting to change the look of both the scalebar & the overview map. However, I am not sure how to go about this. I don't know where it is that I would change these items. I am using the Flex Viewer uncompiled version. I have also downloaded the Flex API and noticed there was a .mxml file for a different looking scalebar - however, I am not sure how to implement this (where) in my flex viewer. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! 🙂

Hello. I'm new to Flex. I have been working with Flex Viewer 2.1 for the past couple of months and have changed a lot of the xml files and some of the mxml files as well. Wanted to know if anything came from the API Team looking into the inital error from this post "Description Resource Path Location Type com.esri.viewer:BaseWidget is a module or application that is directly referenced. This will cause com.esri.viewer:BaseWidget and all of its dependencies to be linked in with index. Using an interface is the recommended practice to avoid this. flexviewer2.1 Unknown Flex Problem" I am getting this same error and have no idea what to do about it. I'm also getting the other error mentioned regarding viewer strings that comes and goes. Thanks!

I had tried a couple different city logos to no avail; however, I just tried another 'smaller' image and it worked. So I created a smaller city logo and that seemed to work as well! Thanks!

Any clue why when I tell it (static image widget) to go to the bottom and far right of my page it shows up in the middle on the far right side - no matter what number I put in (ie: bottom "0" or bottom "20") in the config.xml? Thanks!

Thanks - that is actually what I had tried (numerous times) without success. I could get it to go to the right of the page or the left of the page; however, it WOULD NOT go to the bottom of the page! In the end it only worked by me telling it to go from the top"840" - which was a bit ridiculous - but at least it FINALLY put it at the bottom right hand corner of my map where I wished it to go.

I actually had that part added at one time - but must have taken it out. So now that error is gone but now I'm getting this error: "1046 : Type was not found or was nota compile-time constant:InfoWindowRollOverContent" This is once again referring to the following code: <samples:InfoWindowRollOverContent id="content"/>

Thanks - this was helpful. However, I am wanting to get my city logo (static image) to be at the bottom right hand corner of my map - and I cannot get it to that location. What do I need to do to change the location? Thanks!

So I come up with this error: "The prefix "samples" for element "samples:InfoWindowRollOverContent" is not bound". I don't know what that means. It's referring to this particular line of code: <samples:InfoWindowRollOverContenct id="content"/> What am I doing wrong now? Thanks!

Hello. I'm new to Flex and trying to use the Flex Sample "InfoWindow as MapTips". I want to be able to roll over parcels and info about each parcel show up (w/o clicking). On the sample there are two tabs of .mxml. The first one says to include the com/esri/ags/samples/InfoWindowRollOverContent.mxml http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/flex/samples/index.html My question is - where do I put that information? There are multiple services (one for each year of imagery). No, none of them have information in the "Time Info" area. How does this information get there? Is it something I can manually do or is it automatically done somewhere? When I created the mosaic datasets there wasn't an option regarding time.

Hello. I am new to Flex (and server). I have downloaded the Flex Viewer uncompiled version. For the most part I have set the map up the way I have wanted to and have added/changed widgets to meet my needs. However, I am having an issue with my basemaps showing up consistently. Basically I have created a transparency slider (with help) that should let me change my city's transparency level for it's imagery. What I should see when I open my map is my street level basemap and then using the transparency slider I should be able to make my imagery show up. I have had this working. However, then I will run my map (from flex builder) again and then only the imagery shows up when it opens - the street map will only show up when I zoom in and the transparency bar won't work. I have not changed anything as far as the basemaps go (these are called out in my config.xml file). For instance this morning when I got to work it worked great...then I was in my header control mxml and then I reran my app and then suddenly I am back to just the imagery showing. I don't know why this is happening. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Cynthia

Hello. I am new to Flex (and server) and have downloaded the Flex Viewer uncompiled version. I am wanting to create a time slider bar for our city's imagery. We have the image server extension and I have created a mosaic dataset for each year (1998, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2010). I have published each of these to the server. I have no clue how to go about getting these into a time slider bar. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks! Cynthia
