Hi Alison, Currently there is no way to create a SD file via Python, but you can use Workflow Manager Administrator to create the SD file on disk rather than publishing it. You can then use UploadServiceDefinition_server to publish it to whichever server you want. We will look into adding the ability to create the SD files via GP tool or Python in a future release. We will also look at adding the Workflow Manager REST API documentation to the document you noted above. For now you can access the Workflow Manager REST documentation here: ArcGIS Workflow Manager REST API Thanks, Kevin

Hi Alison, The database upgrade log should be written to your windows temp folder. The easiest way to find this it to enter %TEMP% into the Windows Explorer address bar and it will take you to whatever you have set as temp (usually it is C:\users\<username>\appdata\local\temp). Kevin

Hi Alison, Workflow Manager expects all step return values to be integers, so the ReturnValue step expect all its parameters to be integers in turn. As such, the job name cannot be used as a return value. Thanks, Kevin

Hi Heather, I unable to reproduce that issue with your code in a sample VB.Net ArcMap command. I have attached the project I used in the hope that you will be able to discover some difference between it and your project that may help resolve the issue. If this project does not work for you, I suspect the issue may have something to do with your specific configuration or Workflow Manager repository, and you will probably need to contact Esri Support in order to help resolve the issue. Thanks, Kevin

Hi Heather, You should be able to retrieve the Job or the JobID from the IJTXExtension interface on the Extension. For example: IJTXExtension extension = m_application.FindExtensionByName("Workflow Manager") as IJTXExtension;
int jobID = extension.JobID;
IJTXJob job = extension.Job; From the job, you can get the status. If you are following this approach and always getting 0 as the JobID, you may be trying to retrieve this value before the job has actually been loaded. In that case, you may need to wait for the job to be loaded by registering as a Job Listener, via IJTXExtension2.AttachListener. Kevin

Hi Tyler, This sounds like it may be an issue where you have User Connection properties that were set on your old server, and these were transferred to the new server. This help document discusses setting User Connections starting in step #5: 10.1 or 10.0. If you do have User Connection settings configured that are pointing to the old server, you can update these to point to the new server. Another option would be to clear these if they are not actually required. User Connection properties are designed to be used when you want each user to connect to the Workflow Manager repository using their own database login. If all users are either connecting as the same login, or all users are using OS authentication, this is not required and can be cleared. At 10.1, if you have these set and want to clear them, there is a button at the bottom left of the User Properties form that will let you clear them. I hope this helps. Kevin

Hi Mike, Are you also setting the coordinate system on the new feature? For example: ISpatialReferenceFactory spatialReferenceFactory = new SpatialReferenceEnvironmentClass();
IGeographicCoordinateSystem geoCoordSystem = spatialReferenceFactory.CreateGeographicCoordinateSystem((int)esriSRGeoCSType.esriSRGeoCS_WGS1984);
pMyAOI.SpatialReference = (ISpatialReference)geoCoordSystem; You also said you are doing this in a custom tab. How are you then storing the AOI? Are you just using the IJTXJob.AOIExtent property to set the value? If so, you will also need to project your new AOI to the same coordinate system that the AOI feature class is using. Kevin

Hi Fraser, There is a sample ASP.Net page included with the 10.1 version of the viewer that can be used to accomplish this. To utilize the sample: 1) In IIS, disable Anonymous Authentication and enable Windows Authentication for the Flex Viewer 2) In the deployed Flex Viewer folder, rename default.windows_auth.aspx to default.aspx. As well, delete or rename index.html to ensure it is not used. If you are using ArcGIS Worklfow Manager 10.0 on ArcGIS Server .Net 10, and want to also secure the services using Windows authentication, this KB article can provide more information: http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/39408

Hi, Workflow Manager does not utilize the Windows password at all. Instead, Windows authenticates the user when they login, and then Workflow Manager just gets the information about what user is currently logged in. There should be no effect when the Windows username is changed.

Hi Fraser, There is currently no option to zoom all data frames. Is the issue where it doesn't zoom at all reproducible at all? If so, I would recommend trying up the Workflow Manager log level in order to see if it reports any errors in the logs.
