You can use the Add Surface Information tool (3D Analyst) to add the elevation values to the attribute table of the point data. There is also the Extract Values to Points (Spatial Analyst) tool that will do that same thing except it will generate a new feature class for the output. Once the values are in the attribute table, you can use the field calculator to determine the difference.

You would need to convert the polylines to polygons to fill them with color. Another option would be to take your surface raster and reclassify the values to an integer raster. You could them symbolize the groupings by varying colors, or you could convert to polygon to symbolize each contour value.

To change the format you need to change the output location to a folder instead of a File Geodatabase. Once a folder is selected, you can change the format from the drop down.

You could use Raster Domain tool to create a boundary for your raster. Add the layer to ArcScene and set the base height to your elevation. Then set an extrustion to a lower (negative) elevation value by choosing the layer properties extrusion option: Adding an extrusion by using it as a value features are extruded to. Extrude features by constant value

There are some known issues with creating zero leength lines. One way that may work is to take your 2d points and use the Feature to 3d by Attribute tool. Set the height field to the Min Z. This will output a 3D point Z file. Add the 3D point file to ArcScene and set the extrusion within the layer properties to extrude to the Max Z value.

I have sid aerial photos of 4 townships that cover my community. I was wondering if there was a toolbar function to combine these 4 .sid raster files in to one layer. Working on ArcView 10. No SDE. Just re-read your post. ArcEdit or ArcInfo is required for creating Mosaic Datasets. A Raster Catalog should work for you. Create a File Geodatabase > Right click > New Raster Catalog. Name the catalog and choose the option for unmanaged raster catalog. After catalog is created, right click and load data. Select rasters to load. The raster catalog will bring in you imagery as a single layer. There are some additional display options within ArcMap from the Raster Catalog properties.

Two other options for combining the images into a single layer are the Raster Catalog and the Mosaic Dataset. The unmanaged raster catalog and the mosaic dataset will reference the source imagery without creating new datasets. This may be a better option since MrSID images are high compressed and tend to increase the output size.

What are you looking to create? In order to work with 3D objects, you will need to use 3D Analyst along with ArcScene or ArcGlobe. Here are some basic tutorials: Introduction to the ArcGIS 3D Analyst tutorial Esri Training Courses on 3D

The way that the Layer 3D to Feature Class tool works is that it take the 3D properties from the layer within ArcScene or ArcGlobe and applies them to the creation of the multipatch. If you are running this in ModelBuilder, you will need to have it added to ArcScene with 3D properties applied before the tool will work.

I would export the table from Access as a dbf4, and then use the ArcMap function to display XY data. This will create a temporary layer that you can export as a permanent layer. There is another way to create the feature class in a single step in the following document. Adding x,y coordinate data as a layer

There is not a way to assign the spatial component back to the data unless you have the XY coordinate values. It is usually not recommended to edit your Personal Geodatabase in Microsoft Access as it is very easy to correcupt the data. If you have a backup of the data, I would look to restore it.
