I am not sure why you can't calculate geometry directly from FGDB. That is out of my knowledge. FYI, I tried it with ArcMap 10.2.2 and it worked fine.

Collector doesn't support this capability yet. But if you have exported collected feature into File GDB or your data is in ArcSDE, you can take a look at Calculate geometry in ArcMap or Attribute Assistant (desktop solution) and see if it can apply to your workflow as a workaround.

In iOS, you will meet this error if you have a Server feature service added as an item with stored credentials in ArcGIS Online. The feature service has attachment enabled. Then you add picture attachment made from photo library instead of camera.

For Question 1, yes, you can. After you enable attachments, could you try to publish feature service again? http://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/ios/create-maps/prepare-data-desktop.htm

It is the combination of Map layer and Esri basemap. If you remove Esri USA Topo Maps layer, it will work. Or if you use Esri USA Topo Maps layer as a basemap and replace Esri basemap, it will work as well.

This issue could be related to network. If you are using Web Adapter, try to increased the uploadReadAheadSize value on IIS and sometimes that was enough to fix the issue Launch “Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager” Select the site that you are hosting your web application under it. In the Features section, double click “Configuration Editor” Under “Section” select: system.webServer then serverRuntime Modify the “uploadReadAheadSize” section

Active Directory configuration is supported in ArcGIS Online. But when you sign in with your AD credentials in ArcGIS Online, those AD credentials won't be passed to ArcGIS Server (can't federate from ArcGIS Online to ArcGIS Server). Then you need to sign in twice to access secured service in ArcGIS Server. In Portal, once the server is federated, you will only sign in once.

To 1) We are always trying to minimize the discrepancy between iOS and Android Collector app. For Android device using older chip sets, it can be prone to have more memory related issues. To 2) as initial release of related table, we don't include copying feature capabilities for related table features.
