There are many ways to accomplish this task. Dan has already suggested some ways. Here is one more way: 1. Convert your state boundary (polygon) to a raster 2. Use Mosaic to new raster tool > add River raster first, Lake raster and then State raster 3. Finally use Reclassify tool to convert the values to 1's and 0's Hope this is helpful Kishor

Also you can use 'Mosaic to new raster tool'. First add the purple/pink and then add blue raster and set the Mosaic operator to Last. ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2) Hope this is helpful Kishor

I am not clear about what is your workflow and how both highway and pipelines are. However, you just set the highway layer on top of pipeline layer in the table of content to hide the pipeline segments that intersect with highways. This could be a way to get it done. I would appreciate if you could share a screen shot and provide more details regarding this issue if above suggestions is not helpful. Kishor

Use Zonal statistics tool. The fishnet output of 90 and the population raster would be the inputs and set the statistics type 'MEAN'. Here are the steps: 1. Go to Spatial analyst > zonal > zonal statistics 2. Zone data = fishnet 3. Zone field = any ID field 4. Value raster = population raster 5. Output raster = set output location and name 6. Statistics Type = 'Mean' 7. Environment > Processing extent > Snap raster > population raster 8. Environment > Raster analysis > Cell size > As specified Below = 90 9. Environment > Raster analysis > Mask = Population raster 10. Click Ok > Click Ok If you would like to have output in the form of table, then use Zonal Statistics as Table. Hope this is helpful Kishor
