I am also interested in this. We would like to use the alternate name table to catch when lists contain route numbers instead of street names or common misspellings of road names. The problem is that when a record matches to something in the alternate table, it returns that incorrect name as the "matched address".

I created a hosted feature layer from scratch in our Portal on 10.7.1 and I am still getting "Can't use this feature layer due to an unknown error". It only has 4 text fields and 1 date field. I haven't set any symbology or anything on it. I also can't create a project using the templates as it gives me pretty much the same error.

Thank you @OwenGeo, my main goal is having an alternative to the classic Shortlist or Map Tour style apps since those seem to be going away. A simple, quick to set up web app that displays a list of features (with basic info like name and short description) that you can click on to pan around to them and get more details. These are great for displaying groups of projects/locations to citizens and letting them choose which one they are interested in based on either the list or the map. In the Moving to ArcGIS StoryMaps article, the Explorer Map Tour element of the new StoryMaps is listed as the way to migrate, it seems to work very similar, however having a cover sort of ruins this as an option if it is acting as a standalone app. It would help if you could add a little more context to the header bar similar to those older apps, but having the actual app be hidden upon visiting the URL would probably be confusing/annoying for some folks. Experience Builder seems great but it is a bit more complex to get up and running, especially if you need to go off-template. There seem to be a lot of "gallery" type templates across the various app builders but they all point to bookmarks or groups of maps/apps instead of being able to automatically list features from a layer. I could be missing something though since I haven't tried all of them! Attachment Viewer seems to fit pretty closely (I hadn't thought about those old apps being image focused but they sort of are). A bit more customization like numbering and labeling on the attachment images with corresponding label/number on the map points would be nice. Thank you!

While adding a URL parameter is an ok workaround sometimes, it seems silly to be forced to have a cover for a 1 panel story map. You will also have to remember to add the parameter every time someone asks you for a link. People will find ways of accessing the map through your ArcGIS Online page or somewhere else and will be sent to the default link and met with a full screen cover page which could be confusing. Adding an option of "None" next to "Minimal", "Side-by-Side" and "Full" seems pretty simple. Until that is added I don't consider this a good way to migrate a Shortlist from the old Story Maps to the new. If there is another quick and easy alternative for creating a Shortlist style app without using the Classic Story Maps that would be great.

I am also having this issue. I believe when replacing our vector tile basemap, I chose to turn the current one into an archive. We have since stopped doing it this way but I cannot delete the "archive" vector tile hosted layer. All it says is Error, Unable to delete item.

This would be a good feature. I would also like the ability to turn off the filtering by map extent. I think it may confuse a lot of people when a bunch of the features disappear from the list when you are using the Map Focused view.

Not sure if anyone has found it yet, but if anyone is having this same issue it looks like there was a patch. https://support.esri.com/en/Products/Desktop/arcgis-desktop/arcmap/10-7-1#downloads?id=7788

Thank you very much for your reply, it seems this is a lot more difficult than I had hoped. I have attached a copy of the RPTX file.

I'd like to create a custom print service that uses a report template configured to pull the results of the Public Notification widget in one of our ArcGIS Online apps. I'd like to pull the value used as the "Search Distance" and one or 2 fields from the "Subject" feature as the header, and then a table of the parcels that intersect the buffer with several of their attributes. In this image, the orange property would be the subject, and the blue properties would be the intersecting features. I have created a Report in ArcGIS Pro, set up the look the way I want it and got the table to pull values from a selection I did in a Pro map. Right now the header data is all plain text except the dynamic date. I'm hoping it is possible to use tags or something to pull the necessary values from the Public Notification widget. I am hoping this can be done without needing Developer Edition of Web AppBuilder, but am open to trying it out.

This seems like a no brainer. Setting the default scale units and legend visibility are necessary. We can't expect random citizens to view our web apps and know to open the advanced settings and then be able to figure out how to change these things when the defaults don't make sense for our community. We should also be able to hide the options we don't want the public to be able to change.

This feature is definitely needed. As shown in Cory's image above, in the old Collector App there were basically 3 options for copying features: Copy Location (let you copy the selected feature's location but pick any editable feature to create there) Copy Attributes (create a new feature with the same attributes at your current location) Copy Location and Attributes (create a new feature of the same type at the same location as the selected feature) That third option is the one missing in the new Collector App. It let you quickly add multiple features on top of one another if you only needed to change one or two attributes, instead of copying just the location and needing to redo every attribute, which could be dozens. If snapping was possible in the App it wouldn't be as much of an issue because you could copy the attributes and then just snap to the feature, but I realize that is probably more difficult for a touchscreen app.

I am having the same issue with v2.4.1. I map the fields and hit OK when everything looks good. You can actually see the fields you have mapped turn red again while the tool is closing. Open it back up and everything has reset. Very frustrating, especially when you have a lot of intricate fields to map with multiple inputs and merging. After some experimenting, if after you map a field, you sort of click around the dialog box, near where you put in the expression, it shows a sort of loading graphic in the top left. After doing this it actually saved for me but not reliably. I also have another related issue of have multiples of the same field mapped when revisiting a tool. In the image, I have only 1 table that should have 1 field mapped to each, yet 3 are showing up for many of them.

Our assessor has our CAMA data across several tables in a SQL database (we really only need to connect to 1 for now but it would be nice to know if there was a way to use all of them). Our versioned parcel feature class is in a separate SQL enterprise GDB. I’m trying to figure out a way to view the CAMA table(s) with the DEFAULT parcel layer geometry joined to it on Parcel ID (there are sometimes multiple CAMA records for one parcel and I think we would need separate geometry for each of them for querying purposes in ArcGIS Online web apps). Is there an easy way to do this with the live and dynamic data from both datasets so that I can use it in web apps and don’t have to constantly update it? Our enterprise GDB is currently on version 10.4.1 using SQL Server 12.0.5 I've had no luck finding existing topics on this. I've heard about database views but I'm unsure if I would be able to create one with tables across 2 SQL databases.

Thank you for your reply. The JoinID field is for using the Alternate Name table, there is no option to choose a join field for the Alias Table. I figured out that a workaround would be to create a composite locator with a separate Place Name only locator.
