Thanks, Steve for your suggestion, I would need a little more than that, may be an example or some references that can help me with this.

Hi, I have a feature layer showing nursing facilities and I have added label layer that show Facility IDs. I need labels only for the map printout, I do not want the labels on the map, because I already have hover over function to identify the features. I had set scale dependency on (commented out) the labels but that did not work because what I want is for the nursing facilities ID should show on the print out at any scale, so the facility IDs need to show up on the printed map regardless of scale or zoom level. I am trying to find out if there is a way to have labels show up only when the print function is turned on or have way for the labels to be included in the PDF printout. I looked at samples and reference for label layer and label class and could not much to help me. It will be great if I can get some help or pointers on how get this accomplished. Thanks for the help!!

We tried that too, wanted to avoid recreating tile package, but once you edit the mapserver json file and then share and publish the tiles, it will work as far as getting all tiles to publish, but you will lose legend and if that is important to you, then I would suggest to re-creating the tile package, following first option: In ArcMap, click Full Extent before creating the tile package.

Pete, We had the same problem, ESRI support told us that it is a bug reported in 10.3, but they have a work around, re-creating the tile package, with full extent in ArcMap, worked for us and we could get all the tiles to publish, it is not the size ( tile package was 2GB and it worked for us). Here is the link: http://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDA4NTI0MQ== BUG-000085241 - Publishing tiles does not complete in ArcGIS Onlin.. Synopsis Publishing tiles does not complete in ArcGIS Online. This may be due to incorrect extents, however this warning is never provided to the user. Alternate Solution In some cases, these workarounds help: - In ArcMap, click Full Extent before creating the tile package. OR, if the tile package cannot be recreated: (1) Download the tile package. (2) Use 7-Zip to right-click on the tile-package > Open Archive. (3) Right-click on mapserver.json in servicedescriptions\mapserver and click Edit. (4) Change fullExtent to equal initialExtent and geoFullExtent to equal geoInitialExtent. (5) Save and close. When prompted, update the Archive. (6) Use Add Item in ArcGIS Online to add the tile package again (ensure the original is deleted). (7) Attempt to create the tiles.

Heming, Will this work on, ArcGISTiledMapservice too? because I am having the same issue, I have a tiled map service, with a group layer that has three sublayers , when I add the URL for the map service, in my application, it shows up fine and the legend that comes up is for the layer that is visible, but as I zoom in and out it does not update to show the legend for visible layer. Thanks, Saloni.

Mehtab, I do use the "Developer Tools" but I guess did not know where to look specifically, I went to console but could not figure out much from there. Will have to work on debugging tools. Thanks for the explanation and answering my question.

Tim, Thanks for looking at this, yes now the points are showing up. The print digit is working, but not the print task. Once you click on a point to select points within the buffer distance and then try to print, it does not return a printout. Still have to figure out why that is not working.

Hi, I was trying to add print template widget to my so far working application, the print widget is seems to be working now but everything else is not, even the feature layers are not showing up. I am not using our arcgis server but the the arcgis online, sample server URL, to do the print task, could that be the reason? If anyone can please take a look at my code and help me figure out the problem, that will be great, thanks!! Here is the link to the JS fiddle with my code : Work on templates for printing - JSFiddle

Robert, This is exactly what I was looking for, the examples that I had come across so far had only one layer, and I did not think it would be so simple, still learning new to this, thanks for your help!

Hi, I have three feature layers in this application and I have a tooltip dialog working on the first layer that I added. I want to know if there is way, with which I can have the tooltip, hover over dialog box, to show up on other two layers as well. I want only the nursing facilities to be selected, within the buffer, when clicked on any feature. If I have the tooltip working on other layers, then I can identify the center of the circle to draw a buffer and select nursing facilities. Here is the JSfiddle I am working on: http://jsfiddle.net/JSSR/kLasn1cc/ Thanks!
