I fixed my problem. Since there is no sensitivity settings in the map component I had to get creative. I switch the panEnabled to false by default and added a mouseMove listener and have it switch to panEnabled true when it gets moved and back to false on mouseUp. Not ideal but at least this way I can click on the map without having the map pan. If anyone has a better way they can think of I am open to suggestions. Thanks,

Hello, I have a map in a mobile flex application and a infowindow that shows when I click on certain features. This all works fine but my issue is when I click on a feature the map pans slightly any time I tap the map it pans just a little bit. Is there a sensitivity setting or something entirely different I am missing? Any help would be great! thanks

Hello, I have been having an issue with the infoWindowRenderer. I have a split view mobile flex app that has a list view and a map view side by side. My problem is the infowindow popup. When the list view is clicked the selected feature is passed to the map view and the infowindow shows with the correct data perfectly fine. But I also want the ability for users to just click the map if they don't want to click the list. This also works and the info popup displays fine. My issue is if the user clicks a feature on the map and then tries to go back and use the list the popup is stuck on whatever they last clicked on the map. The extent and zoom still move to the feature selected on the list but the popup stays the same. You can still change it by clicking the map again but the list doesn't work once the map is clicked. Is there a way to clear the infowindowrenderer, it seems to me like it gets stuck or focused on map clicks and doesn't respond to data changes from other methods. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I found a solution on arcgis desktop help. It is a python script that Zips your workspace and makes it available for download. Now I am able to get my dbf and just unzip it after its downloaded. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#/Input_modes_and_parameter_data_types/005700000062000000/ Its about mid way down the article.

Right click your tool in ArcCatalog and go to properties, then go to the parameters tab. My problem isn't finding a list of the parameters it is changing the data type from table to file. I can create a variable with data type "file" but I am not sure how to link it in to the model since that data type won't seem to connect to anything.

Thanks, my issue is my parameter in model builder is listed as "Table" and not as "File" and I can't really find a tool that can give me a parameter type "File" from my output table. I know I must be missing something but any help to this specific issue would be great.

Thanks for your response. I was thinking that but I am not sure how I am suppose to do this. This is coming from a model that is being published and when I publish it makes it "GPRecordSet" without me doing anything. How do I go about changing it to "GPDataFile"? I am not sure if the model has to be changed or this is a publishing option. Thanks,

I am currently trying to make the geoprocessing widget output a table. I have published the geoprocessing service and when I set up the widget the way I think it is suppose to work I can hit run and it creates the table on the server ( I can see it if i remote in ). But it just throws an error in flex instead of downloading the dbf. I am not sure if I need to do something on the model side or the flex side. XML output params <outputparams> <param name="task_dbf" label="Output dbf file" required="true" type="datafile" visible="true"/> </outputparams> I did notice that if I go to the service through a browser and look at the output param in rest services the type is "GPRecordSet". I don't know how to make the type "file" or even if that's what is causing the issue. I know its vague but any help where to start would be great! My goal is to download the dbf upon completion. Thanks

Robert, I had tried that after reading your first post, but I learned that control actually sets the thickness of the expand/retract button. I am starting to think its not related to the divider at all because if I switch the panel box to the right side, the white line stays on right side of the widget and not near the divider bar. I might just leave it on the right because the white line isn't as bad on the outer edge.

Thanks Robert, I was able to get rid of part of it by adjusting the gap: rightContainer.gap = -1; This got rid of the line between widgets. Still trying to track down the border for the outer edges the code, must be hidden really well. The white line in the image is still on the right side and the bottom(can't see bottom in image).

Hello, I am customizing the widget container PanelBox. I know that the colors are set using the VerticalPanelBoxButtonSkin and HorizontalPanelBoxButtonSkin as well as the PanelBox.as. My issue is the border placed around the widgets. If you go into the WidgetTemplateSkin and take out all borders and open them in a float container they indeed have no borders. But if you place that widget into a panel container it gives each widget a border on the right and bottom sides (see attached image). What I am trying to do is get rid of these borders for a more blended look. I'm not sure what I am missing here but can't seem to find any reference to this border in the above mentioned files. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

I have been configuring the new eSearch widget Robert released not too long ago and have also been integrating some custom aspects to the widget to suit my needs. Everything is working great except for one part. In the SearchResultItemRenderer I have added a Label and Icon that are both click able and direct our users to a different part of the application. My question is about the visibility of this Label and Icon. Is there a way to only make them visible when searching on a specific layer? For example I would like the Icon and Label to show with the results when I search the Parcels layer, but have them not show up when I search the Street Lights layer. The Icon and Label are only relevant to the Parcels layer. I understand one solution is to have two separate search widgets, but I am trying to keep it in one widget if possible. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks,

M Lowry, Sure, I am using a concept I got from Robert Scheitlin at the 2012 Developer Summit where he demoed an application that used a login screen. I used a lot of the code he gave out to base my code on. The basic concept is the index.mxml has two states a "login" and "viewer" state. The source code he gave out loads into the login state and then after receiving credentials from an authentication service it loads the viewer state. I am using a different approach but the same concept, as I mentioned earlier in the above post my viewer loads the viewer state by default and essentially switches to a different application when the sign in button is clicked. I created a second index.template.html as well as another mxml in the src folder. The source code Robert gave out is located here: http://gis.calhouncounty.org/devsummit2012/ Its not plug and play, it takes some know how to get it to work. Hope this helps,
