If you dragged the images into the story map builder they have already been uploaded to your story. Sharing the story item will also ensure those images are shared. Scenes, maps, and layers all have corresponding items in your ArcGIS content. You'll need to find those items and share them just like you share the story item. There's lots of information in the ArcGIS Online help about sharing if you need more information: Get started with sharing—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS Share items—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS If you don't own any of the content items used in your story you'll need to add the owner to your group and ask him/her to share those items to the group.

Hi Chad -- Sharing to a group isn't currently supported by story map builders, but you can do it manually. Go to your Content page in your ArcGIS account and check a box next to one or more of your items you should see the option to Share at the top of the list. If you don't see it after checking at least one item you must not have permissions to share items and should contact your administrator. Once you confirm that you can share items, you'll need to share the story map as well as any maps, scenes, and layers that are used in the story to the group you've created. When sharing to group, none of these items are shared automatically.

Hi -- Sure, you can do that in a story map. You don't need a server, but you will need to publish your data as a hosted feature service on ArcGIS Online. Once you have that you'll just need to set up separate layers in your map with each of the subsets of features you want your readers to be able to activate. You can do this by copying your layer as many times as you need and using the Filter option in the layer menu to set up a query to show the features you want in each layer. Learn more about filters here. Once you have those layers in your web map, you can use Story Actions to set up links in your side panel that toggle the visibility of the layers as needed. Learn more about how to create Story Actions here. Just one more note, from your screenshot it appears you are using Story Map Series for your story (not Cascade), is that right?

Hi Tami -- Sorry a few of your students are having trouble with the Cascade Builder. Does the same thing happen if they create a new story or if they try using a different web browser? Another thing to try is to change the size of the browser window to see if that lets them scroll into the story. Let me know if any of these tips help.

Hi Malcolm -- sorry you are having an issue with your story. To my knowledge, we haven't received any reports of disappearing tabs. There is a capability to hide tabs (in the Organize panel), but I just looked at your story data and that is not the case here. The only other thing I can think of is custom HTML. Have you added any custom HTML to this story in the source view of the side panel editor? I suppose it's possible that some HTML styling may have affected some of your tabs? If that's not the case I'd suggest that you contact Esri Support and they can help you troubleshoot further.

Hi Joshua -- One option is to use the Side Accordion layout (in Settings > Layout), which is a different layout where the descriptions are located in a dedicated side panel that doesn't overlap the main stage content. If you want to keep the Tabbed layout then in Settings > Layout options you can swap the description panel to the right side.

Hello Evan -- As you suspected, putting the video on YouTube or Vimeo is required to get the cover video to loop. These services are optimized for serving video in the manner required to ensure it performs properly in your story map.

Images that were uploaded to the story are not copied over by ArcGIS Online Assistant. You will need to upload those again to the copied story to make sure it has its own copy of all the images. I would also redo the story action as it's possible that the action ID or some other internal ID was modified in the process of copying the story.

Hi Danielle -- You can just paste your <iframe> code into the Story Map Builder that you are using to embed a tweet. Just look for the "web page" or "link to content" option. For example, below is a screenshot of your tween inside a Cascade story... I'd recommend using SMALL for the size and enabling interaction in the Appearance tab of the media config options. You can also edit the height of the embed if you want. See the section on "Better sizing of embedded content" in this blog post. I'm curious why you mentioned you needed to edit the JSON of your story directly to do this?

Kevin - Unfortunately, there's not a way to simply download an individual story and its content. Since story maps are interactive products they need software, web services, and databases to render the story, maps, and data layers. I'm not sure if your situations warrants, but you can look into ArcGIS Enterprise, which is a way to host your own private version of ArcGIS Online.

Hi Kevin -- Depends on what you mean by "download." Story Map template apps are open source and the code can be downloaded from Github and hosted on your own server. However, the app still points to ArcGIS Online or an ArcGIS Enterprise portal to get the story content and maps. For more information and detailed instructions on how to how a story map on your own server see this article.

Hi Thomas -- Sketchfab looks like a great tool. Since it already has good embed options anyone should already be able to add Sketchfab models to a story map. If you are working with the Journal or Series templates just choose "web page" for the type of content when you are adding media and you'll see a field for pasting in embed code. If you are working with the Cascade template go to the Link to Content tab and paste the embed code there. Note that <script> tags are not supported in embed code.

Patrick -- We apologize for the security certificate issue that's been affecting access to the Developers' Corner blog. We have been working on getting it resolved, but there are some changes in security policies that have occurred since we established this blog on medium, so it's taking a bit of time to work through those. Yesterday we have arrived at a solution that is acceptable to all parties involved and we are working on getting it implemented, so we hope to have the blog back up soon.
