The problem with “Build Footprints” (Radiommetry based) tool is that it has some weird results at the boundary just like on the image below: NicolasGIS_0-1635431820789.png Or this kind of problem with the footprint: NicolasGIS_3-1635432127092.png With alpha channel activated (symbology Alpha=Band_4), transition is slightly better but not ideal either: NicolasGIS_2-1635431820817.png Any idea what could be done to avoid this problem ? Hello Mosaic dataset experts, I have 2 datasets, one 3 bands (RGB) and the second one 4 bands (RGB-Alpha). I create for each dataset a source mosaic dataset and then I create a Derived mosaic dataset to be able to access via one source the 2 datasets. When I display the 2 source datasets separately and configure in the symbology for the RGB-Alpha datasets Alpha=Band_4 the display is great: OK. NicolasGIS_0-1635321386551.png But when I display the Derived mosaic dataset the Alpha channel of the RGB-Alpha source mosaic dataset is not detected, and the display is not what is expected. NicolasGIS_1-1635321386661.png When I turn in the symbology Alpha=Band_4 this symbology is at some point applied to the entire Derived Mosaic Dataset while one of the source mosaic dataset doesn’t have an Alpha Channel. The display is still not what is expected. NicolasGIS_2-1635321386753.png Is there any solution to make the Derived Mosaic Dataset mixing 2 source mosaic dataset which only one of them have an Alpha Channel and still display it correctly? Any help is appreciated ! Thanks

Yes the problem is that you cannot download an area if there is a vector tile layer as basemap as it does not consider it as downloadable

Hello, Currently, it seems like it is not supported to reference a vector tile basemap for offline use even if the map is configured to have a vtpk side loaded. It's a bit annoying. Did I miss anything ? Thanks, Nicolas

Hello, In ArcGIS fields Maps, you can currently create a TPK (raster) or VTPK (Vector) as basemap but you cannot mix both just like in ESRI AGOL topographic basemap (with hillshade raster and data in VTPK). Is it doable ? I thought about doing it in an mmpk but according to documentation mmpk cannot be used for data collection. Any idea ? Thanks

It's classic. Did not have the time to test the new Collector that ArcGIS Field Maps was already out 🙂 Snapshot is from IOS but it's available on both IOS and android once you have an entity/feature selected. On IOS there is a rectangle with an arrow to have more option. On android, it's a small triangle at the bottom right corner

Hello, Coming from Collector there was a "zoom to" feature button when a feature was selected. I cannot find it on "ArcGIS Field Maps" app. Did I miss anything ? It's very annoying because I notice that most of the time it would zoom automatically to selected feature but it does not work all the time (specially when the map is rotated and is no longer north oriented) so this button was really usefull ! Hello, Just a feedback regarding JS API 4: I find it a pity that you don't support "grouped" values in your legend widget contrary to 3.X. For example, a layer in MapViewer 3.X: NicolasGIS_0-1632485074366.png And in the new MapViewer using 4.X: NicolasGIS_1-1632485094091.png We now have to create and maintain a new field solely for visualization purpose: it's a pity ! Thanks for listening ! PS: otherwise it's really cool, and fast, and the developper experience is awesome 🙂

Indeed, your workaround does work but I wonder about the perenity: the documentation you linked about the 'regionsforcloudstorage.dat' file is from 10.6 and is removed starting from 10.8. Why not including this type of configuration in the webgisdr config file directly ? Is it something you are trying to improve or something you are trying to get rid ? Will it break at the next release 🙄 ? Thanks, Nicolas

Hello, On ArcGIS Enterprise, it is possible to configure a custom S3 region when registering a cloud store: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/manage-data/windows/registering-your-data-with-arcgis-server-using-manager.htm#ESRI_SECTION2_D57ED56F5E1C4CB4A47B78E0BE775541 But I am under the impression that it is not supported for webgisdr ... ? There is no variable for the S3 private URL: https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/linux/create-web-gis-backup.htm Seems strange: did I miss anything ? Thanks

Hi, this issue is solved at 10.9 (for SAML provider only and not OIDC unfortunately). Otherwise in 10.8.1 it does not work except if you upgrade from 10.8 as explained on my post !

Hello, I have been administrating an ArcGIS Enterprise for some time now (since 10.5), following the upgrades, faced some troubles from time to time and the solution was always the webgisdr tool which hopefully works well. I saw in the documentation the various datastore utilities to manage data store backup but I always wonder why are those tools useful as the datastore content is correlated to the ArcGIS Server services and the Portal for ArcGIS content. You cannot restore one without the others right ? ... or there would (could) be some discrepancies ? In which scenario is it meant to be used ? To me, the more webgisdr backup you make, the safer you are ! Thanks
