Same problem here ... Fresh install as well of ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 with webadaptor 10.3.1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1 running on IIS 7. ArcGIS Server is configured to use Windows Domain with ArcGIS Server token authentication. Failed to validate user credentials for the user 'XXX'. Failed to return user store. For input string: "1458:210:40::100:e" Any progress made on this subject ? Cheers

Thanks for your answers and for the bug report. Indeed, it works for me as well when security for virtual directories is disabled. But it is taking a longer time than usual. Though, I still have the 403 error when getting the URL written is the map layers item. Good to know that they are working on it.

Exactly the same problem with : - ArcGIS server 10.3.1 - HTTPS only - GIS-tier authentication - Feature service with sync enabled I cannot download the map if credentials are stored in the feature layer but it works if they are not stored. When credentials are stored, it is important to notice that I can see layers in Collector but not download them. The error message in Collector is : "The requested URL was not found on this server". When checking the feature properties, URL of the layer follows the following pattern : https://utility.arcgis.com/usrsvcs/servers/......someId...../rest/services/folderName/ServiceName/FeatureServer/X and I have also an error 403 : You do not have permissions to access this resource or perform this operation. We found a workaround in case you are interested : Collector with no basemap Of course, it would be better to have an out of the box solution though !

Hello, We were very interested into having an offline application to work where no connection is available and for this reason we choose Collector for ArcGIS. Collector is said to be an offline application but it is only partially true ! Indeed, it needs a connection at the beginning to identify with AGOL. We thought that by not killing the app or not disconnecting from it, it would work. Once again, it is partially true because sometimes it does not require any connection to relaunch the app and sometimes it does and then you are stuck ... Is there any pattern in the identification process that could help us to anticipate this issue ? As we wanted to use the app in an emergency scenario where no connection would be available, it is a big disappointment. Any suggestion to avoid this problem is very welcome, Thanks for your help, Nicolas

Hello Miaogeng, Thanks for your answer but the idea is to push data remotely without having to collect all of them. With an MDM solution (https://www.apple.com/education/it/mdm/) you are able to push apps, configuration ... to a group of apple devices and this remotely ! The idea would be to push up to date .tpk without having to share the file, connecting to itunes ... For this, the application needs to support Managed App Configuration.

Hello, I found out that it is possible to drop .tpk files on mobile devices running Collector for ArcGIS to avoid downloading basemap. (http://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/2014/03/23/using-your-own-basemap-layers-with-collector-for-arcgis/). It comes to our minds that it would be great to push this file remotely to every IPad we are using to update them regularly with the last data. It is possible some application thanks to Mobile Device Management (MDM) of Apple. You can find in the link below more information about it : https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/samplecode/sc2279/Introduction/Intro.html Would anybody know by any chance, if Collector supports Managed Configuration and if yes, what are the settings that can be pushed ? Trent, I have the same error message when I use the GP ServerTools/Caching/ExportMapServer Cache but it works with the GP DataManagementTools/TileCache/ExportTileCache. Have you by any chance tried the wrong one ?

In fact with the tpk trick, it is as if you have a "no basemap" option. Workflow : 1. Publish a map service with a blank basemap. In the caching option, define the scales needed (until 1:20) if good zoom required, and specify "build cache manually after the service is published". 2. In the DataManagement toolbox/Tile Cache/Export Tile cache, specify the cache directory of the "cached" service (which is empty but contains some config files including the projection). 3. Copy the very light .tpk on your mobile plateforme. 4. Finally, download features with the tpk as basemap and you will be able to zoom in until the max zoom you defined everywhere in the map ! Worked for me 😃

Hello Russel, I did some tests and in fact it does not seem to be linked with the tpk file but more with the feature layer. I cannot identify what is wrong with it. What is strange is that the research is working while online but not anymore when offline. Do you have any idea where could the problem come from ? Did you receive the invitation to the test group ? All right. I just invited Collector4ArcGIS to join the group in which you can find : - The web app - The .tpk file that I copied on my Ipad and use as basemap when downloading the data - The feature layer used for the research. A sample of a research would be "1-R" which is the cell the most on the left (talking left not West as it is a matrix with no proper coordinate system). Also, there a bookmark to find cell "1-R" as you can easily get lost in this WebMap (and that is why the research tool is so important !) Thanks in advance for your investigation ! Nicolas

The search tool based on the attribute of a layer is not working anymore. It is working when I am using the app online but once I have downloaded the data, the same research has no result. And I am sure that the entity I am looking for has been downloaded !

Great ! Did not know this was possible. Should have read the doc more carefully. I just have one problem though. Once offline, the research configured does not work anymore. Could it be linked with the tpk ? Cheers, Nicolas
