Can you confirm there will be a targetted patch pre-SP5? Any idea on due-date? Cheers, Mike. "A patch is planned to be released around the end of April/early May 2012 that resolves this defect." http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/40174

Looks like NIM059609 still won't be addressed in the next service pack... http://downloads2.esri.com/support/downloads/other_/10.0_SP5_Announcement.pdf If you are having this issue, I'd sugest contacting Tech Support and referencing the bug#. Otherwise, it may not get addressed...

I have confirmed that we introduced a bug in 10 Sp4. Really sorry about that! The problem will be fixed in 10 SP5. Dan, Is this NIM079126 or a different BUG#? http://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/TklNMDc5MTI2 May just be a matter of timing, but NIM079126 is listed as "Declined" in the link above and "Non-Reproducible" in our Support Bugs in Customer Care Portal. Thanks, Dan M.

The problem Nate is experiencing was logged as NIM079126: http://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/TklNMDc5MTI2 However, it looks like maybe it was listed as "declined" and that maybe ESRI was not able to reproduce it. This particular bug only seems to affect the ??Spatial Join? geoprocessing task (used by ArcToolbox, ModelBuilder, and Python), but not the ??Join data from another layer based on spatial location? option of the join data dialog available from clicking a layer in the table of contents (TOC)->joins & relates->join? Also, I believe that you will only experience the bug with the geoprocessing task, if any of the ??target features? do not have a spatial relationship to any ??join features?. For example, if you are trying a point-in-poly intersect, any points that are not within a polygon could throw off the results of the entire operation. You can avoid this by unchecking ??Keep All Target Features? in the tool dialog or by using the KEEP_COMMON join_type option in your code. If anyone else is running into this same problem after installing SP4, please contact ESRI Support to ensure that they are working to get this fixed. Thanks, Dan

Kelly, There's some help associated with the new date format functionality available since 2.2 http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/javascript/arcgis/help/jshelp/intro_formatinfowindow.htm ... but what's not clear is whether or not a feature layer is required (rather than just a ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer). All of the samples I've found that use the new formating options reference feature layers. I have a bunch of old code that uses querytasks/graphics to display the attributes in the infowindow which has been broken since the REST date/time format changed at AGS 10. I've tried udating my JSAPI version to 2.7, and adding the formating info (i.e. "${EVENT_DATE:DateString}", "${EVENT_DATE:DateFormat}", etc.) with no luck. I'm wondering if I need to recode everything to use feature layers to get the date working again...? Thanks, Dan

From Kelly on another thread (10-14-2011): Unfortunately we do not have a Code Assist plug-in for any version of the API that works with Aptana Studio 3. At version 3, Aptana changed the way Code Assist works and there have been some technical challenges with building Code Assist for version 3. We are working to resolve these issues and hope to have an update soon. http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/41685-Code-Assist-plugin-for-ArcGIS-JavaScript-API-2.5-not-available...?p=141733#post141733

Kelly, Is this considered a new feature rather than a bug, then? There really should be some better documentation explaining why the REST date format has changed between 9.3.1 & 10... and how to handle it in the Web APIs... Thanks, Dan
