Thanks @jcarlson, that's the best way to go about it. And Pro DOES have the ability to save custom north arrows. They are saved to a style so you can use again and again. Just right-click the custom north-arrow and choose Save as Style. 😊

Hi Kate, Great questions! 2.8 is the first Pro release supporting Accessible PDFs. Accessibility in desktop GIS is a complex and expanding field, we expect the options in Pro will grow and update based on feedback. To answer your specific questions: 1. Headings are not currently included. All text in the layout is added as text elements, right now there isn't a way to know what is a heading versus regular text. Right now you need to use a different software, like Adobe Acrobat, to tag headings. 2. I have seen the map divided before. We are looking at solutions to this. 3. There is no current way to mark images as decorative. Legends, north arrows, scale bars and graphic shapes (points, lines, and polygons on the layout) are marked as decorative automatically, but images are not. You currently need to use another software, like Adobe Acrobat, to mark specific images as decorative. This blog post provides more detail about what is supported and not supported in Pro: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/mapping/creating-accessible-pdfs-in-arcgis-pro/ Cheers, Aubri

Table dynamic text might be helpful here. If you have the information stored in a feature layer attribute table or a stand alone table in your map you can use dynamic text to have the layout show the information in the table. Learn more here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/layouts/add-dynamic-text.htm (Scroll to the Table dynamic text section)

Hello, That's frustrating and odd. What version of Pro are you using? And are the missing elements on the page? Pro will allow you to draw elements off the page on a layout, but only the elements on the page itself will be shown in an export. Cheers, Aubri

Hi! The only time spatial map series should be disabled is when the layout doesn't have a map frame, or that map frame doesn't have a layer that can be used for a map series. Bookmark map series should be disabled if the layout doesn't have a map frame, or the map frame doesn't have any bookmarks. If you are seeing these options disabled at other times there may be a bug in the software. I recommend reaching out to technical support who can log a bug.

Further optimizations have been made in 2.8 as well. I'm going to close this issue as completed. If you have further problems with TOC performance please reach out to technical support here: https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support

Unfortunately the page query function works against the map series page name so there isn't a good way to solve this. You can change the page name to be the A,B feature, but then you only have one page for each A,B feature and not a page for every 1,2 feature. You can display the data for all the 1,2 features using dynamic text or other dynamic elements but you wouldn't have a page for each. To do more than I think you need Python.

Are features A,B always in the same layer? If so, you might be able to use the Linked Map Frame Extent map frame constraint to solve the issue. To that you would create the map series using the current map frame and index layer, but drag that map frame off the page or turn off its visibility. Then add a new map frame on the page and set the constraint using the A,B layer as the layer parameter. Then, the map frame will show the extent of A,B but a page will be created for each index feature. I did a quick test with states and counties. A page with 1 county in a state: A page for one county, but the state contains 2 counties (you could use a page query to hide the other one if you wanted)

Hi! There isn't a way to change the color of the layout itself right now. To solve the problem I usually draw a rectangle the same size as the page and change its color. Cheers, Aubri

Hmmm. I can't reproduce with my own township and range data. As long as Selected is chosen I can click individual edges. This sounds like a bug. Can you reach out to Technical Support? https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support They can troubleshoot the issue and enter a bug for the development team.

Is this a layout or a map? For a layout it's possible that the title is off the page. Anything outside the designed page won't be included in the export. In that case you just need to make the page size bigger. If it is a map, you can use the Preview option for map export to see what is being included in the export. Everything else is hidden. In that case you can change the number of pixels to adjust the aspect ratio and get what you need visible.

Hello! It looks like you still have All selected for the Edges. You'll need to click Selected before those controls are enabled. When the All option is highlighted everything you do applies to all edges, you can't selected individual edges until Selected is chosen.

Hi! You should be able to do this. Can you tell me what kind of dynamic text you are using? Are you using the Page Name or Attribute dynamic text options specific to map series or the Value dynamic text option?

Hello! We've been looking into a few issues with exif and images on a layout in Pro. We hope to have them addressed in the upcoming release of Pro. However, there are a lot of "flavors" of this problem and its hard to know if all of them have been addressed. If you can reach out to tech support with your specific repro case, they can pass that on to the development team to make sure your situation is indeed covered by the fixes they are working on. You can reach out to tech support here: https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support Cheers, Aubri
