Morning Josh, Hope you had a great weekend! I tried your suggestion of including the domain. Unfortunately, that did not work as well. However, I started examining the actual name of the pdf and how it was delineated. The pdf name included a space. After I removed the space the document auto-loaded in AGO and the "More info" designation was present. The only thing remaining to solve now is the "Not secure" warning within my URL when the documents load. Have you ever ran into that issue in your travels? Thanks. Jeff

Josh, I've attached a screen capture of my popup that illustrates the issue called "PDF Popup Issue". I have tried a different browser and different computer and get the same result. What do you think? Thanks. Jeff

Josh, We were able to achieve some degree of success on the IIS side. Within the popup window of my application I am receiving the "More info" for my video and when selected the media begins to load which is great news. There is still some things we need to work out for security but that is "on us". However, I am having problems bringing up a PDF. The same pipe segment has a PDF report link as well as the video which comes up fine as I previously indicated. As I said, I am seeing the "More info" for the video but the PDF still displays the https://URL that has not be changed to the "More info" select link. I checked in the corresponding publishing project file and the hyperlinks are working fine. Am I missing something? Any thoughts? Thanks. Jeff

Thank you, Josh. I will be getting with my IT Director to discuss the link you forwarded. Very encouraging. Once I meet with him I will no doubt have additional follow-up questions. Thank you so much for staying in contact and assisting me in this venture. It's a lot to take in. Talk to you soon. Jeff

Josh, It does help. I notice one individual indicated going into the Default Web Site, accessing Authentication, and changing to the Application Pool Identity within Edit for Anonymous Authentication. If I were to create a new website, instead of using Default Web Site, would there be any change in the URL since it would no longer be the Default Web Site but some other name? Thanks. Jeff

Josh, I've added another screenshot to my posting entitled "Access Denied.jpg" that illustrates the error I received. The red rectangle indicates my virtual directory path set at the top-level folder. I then modified the record within my attribute table to include https://, the machine, virDir, and then the rest of the path to arrive at my .mpg video. The screenshot you are seeing is actually something that comes out of right clicking the virtual directory and choosing Manage Virtual Directory/Browse. The same error message, essentially, is produced after clicking "More info" within the popup window in ArcGIS Online. I hope this makes sense. Can you provide any valuable insight going forward? I am stumped because I have all permissions access for this directory. Thanks. Jeff

Hi Joshua! Thank you so much for responding to my post. I really appreciate any assistance or insight on this topic. Regarding my "SanLinks" virtual directory. In the Add Virtual Directory dialog box...do I need to drill all the way down to the actual directory that contains my videos and pdf's for the physical path? I have other questions that will be dependent on this one...error messages and what not...but I will wait to pose those after I hear back from you. Thank you again! Jeff

Hello, I am having some issues accessing information via my newly created Virtual Directory. I have created a Virtual Directory in IIS to allow access to videos and reports through ArcGIS Online via popup "More info". I created and attached screen shots that illustrate the steps that I took to get to this point and am hoping someone may lend some wisdom on where I may have stumbled along the way. VirtualDirectory1.jpg - screen shot depicting the information I supplied to initially create the virtual directory. VirtualDirectory2.jpg - screen shot depicting the creation of the SanLinks virtual directory. VirtualDirectory3.jpg - to test, I changed only one segments path. The red highlight indicates the record that was edited. VirtualDirectory4.jpg - screen shot highlights "More info" added to this segment allowing the user to click for the info. VirtualDirectory5.jpg - screen shot illustrating the result of the "More info" click event. Thank you in advance for any assistance or advice that you can offer. Jeff

Hello, I have a question regarding data access within ArcReader. We have a SQL Server Enterprise Geodatabase with SDE feature classes. These feature classes are added to a variety of maps and published via Publisher for ArcReader user access. If a user does not have the full version of ArcGIS Desktop installed on their computer all links within ArcReader are broken. In order for the broken links to be repaired I need to install ArcGIS Desktop on the computer and add Database Connections via ArcCatalog that contain the necessary files on the SDE. This seems counter intuitive to me. Can someone please advise? Thank you. Jeff

Hi Jim, Thank you for the valuable follow-up. Your instructions are perfect! That's exactly what I needed to make it work just right. My field crew department lead indicates there "shouldn't" be any extraneous values but your information reference to my previous posting of Phil's extract will have me covered. Many thanks! Jeff

Hi Jim, Thank you so much for replying to my posting. Your instructions and provided example is exactly what I needed to get started. Thank you. Something just occurred to me and I don't know if it is possible. Hopefully you may be able to offer some wisdom to this postulate as well. If it were possible to scan the barcode of the old meter and have it populate my Old Meter Number space in the form, would that also initiate the pulldata function for auto-populating the address, account number, route#, and seq#? Or does the old meter number need be to manually added by keypad for the pulldata function to initialize? Thanks and talk with you soon. Jeff

Hello, I have created an XLSForm called Meter Change Form (see attached) that employs the use of the pulldata function. Thanks should go out to James Tedrick for the assist getting me that far. I have a new consideration or wrinkle that I require assistance. For example...currently my "pulldata" allows me to type in an old meter number and it auto-populates the corresponding Account Number, Address, Route# and Seq# values. This is great. Is it also possible to add a pulldata calculation whereby I type in the Address and it auto-populates the Old Meter Number, Account Number, Route# and Seq# if the user didn't have the old meter number handy? If so...how would this need to be incorporated into my XLSForm since the calculation records corresponding to these entries are already populated with my other pulldata requests? Thank you in advance. Jeff

Hi Everyone, I wanted to post a follow-up to my original question for pulldata so that everyone could understand the solution. The change I indicated in my previous response, supplied by James, is definitely a nice clean and valid path. In order to make it function correctly (for me anyway), I changed my Old Meter Number field (oldmeternum) to a text type versus decimal type. It works perfectly now. Thank you. Jeff

Hi James, I reread your response regarding the pulldata functions being included to correspond to the fields directly. I've modified my attached Meter Change Form in the hopes of emulating what you indicated in your response. I've left my CSV file attached for reference. Is this what you were referring to in your response? Thanks. Jeff
