Hi Eric, Thank you for responding to my post. I must seem somewhat like a broken record, but...I am not a JSON manipulator either. However, your suggestion of using Google Sheets has me curious. Is that a module in Integromat? Thanks. Jeff

Hey Ben, Thank you for responding to my inquiry. Unfortunately, I do not have any Python experience. Thank you though for your suggestion. Jeff

Hello, I've created a form using Survey123 Connect that contains electric meter information. Within the form, I have added "date" field which allows me to select some future date. This future date lets me know when I need to change the battery in our meters. I use Integromat for all my notifications using the Survey123 module coupled with the Send Email module. What can I use to integrate with Survey123 and Integromat to send me an email notification when this future date has been reached? Thank you. Jeff

I've used that workflow with previous issues. It works but all relationship links are severed.

Thank you for replying Matt. Unfortunately, compacting did nothing. I am still getting the same error. As for field names...I am not duplicating an existing field nor am I exceeding any character limits. Jeff

Hello, I am attempting to add additional fields to my file geodatabase feature class. I was able to add two additional fields and then received an Add Field Failed error message. The error message indicated the following "Failed to add the field to the table/feature class. General function failure". This feature class is not being accessed by anyone else. I viewed the directory in Windows Explorer and there are 4 lock files that are initiated when this file is open but they belong to my PC alone. I've attached both the error message and lock files for your evaluation. Can someone please advise on how I can remedy this situation...other than exporting it out as a different feature class name...make the necessary changes...and then import it back in to the directory. I'd rather not have to redo all the relationship classes over again with a new import. Thank you in advance. Jeff

Cody, Thank you for the clarification. Not trying to be difficult in any way...just confused is all. I applied your suggestions and everything looks as it should now. I appreciate it. As for your geodatabase question...I guess it's something I've seen others do and preach and just didn't think anything of it. Out of curiosity...why do you recommend against storing rasters inside geodatabases? Jeff

Peter, Thank you for your time and patience. I would rather not project the data. I am in complete agreement with you on that front. My inclination to do so stems from others advising me on what they have done with their own systems coupled with what was in place when I arrived. It appears all aerial imagery years have been cached as hosted tile layers. The notes kept by other individuals also indicate their idea was to convert all aerial imagery to ArcGIS Online's native format of Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere and have them hosted for faster response. There are some notes indicating that the only way an aerial image can be added as a basemap to the basemap gallery is if all are in the same coordinate system. In addition, there are a number of customized mobile applications that will not have access to the server and placing the data as a hosted tile layer alleviates the issue. Our imagery vendor provided both the individual TIF files plus a mosaic. It is not a mosaic dataset but rather just a MrSid image that I am working with at present. I hope that clears some things up on why I am posing the questions that I am. Jeff

Peter, I've attached two screen captures for your review and hopefully subsequent guidance. The "RasterSymbology" and "RasterSymbology2" screen captures illustrate the information that is currently associated with my MrSid image. I have not changed anything thus far. The "RasterStorage" screen capture is associated with the Project Raster GPTool. I included this as purely reference for what I chose during the project function. Can you offer some guidance on what I should select and or modify in order to eliminate the "lightening" of my image during the project raster process? Thank you. Jeff

Hello, When you use Project Raster should the projection result be drastically brighter than the original? What are my choices for remedying this situation? Here is a synopsis of my workflow... My two attachments to this question illustrate my conundrum. Aerial1 is the original MrSid while Aerial2 is the result after using Project Raster. The original coordinate system was local and being projected to Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere. I am using ArcGIS Desktop 10.4.1. The aerial result is being stored within a file geodatabase, the resampling technique was left as Nearest, I did not add an output cell size, and all other defaults were accepted. I wouldn't mind having Aerial1 be somewhat lighter, say around 10%, but it seems way over the top now. I realize I can customize the look within ArcMap for a desktop session but the eventual resting place for this aerial will be as a tile layer stored on the cloud for use within ArcGIS Online. I will be using the Basemap Gallery Widget which requires all aerials be of the same coordinate system to function properly and since the native coordinate system for ArcGIS Online is Web Mercator it seemed the logical conversion choice. Thank you in advance. Jeff

It is as Robert indicates. Tile layers do not show up in the legend. However, if you add the corresponding hosted feature layer to the web map, save, open the web application and select print...the feature layer will appear in the legend. BTW...this is using the default ESRI print service as indicated above. I'm currently running into a bit of a bizarre issue with labels not showing up on output as well.

Hello, I have created an ArcGIS Online application that will be used exclusively for public access. This application contains a hosted tile and feature service for roads. I added the tile service to my web map, moved it to basemap and then set it as a reference layer. This layer displays quite well in the web application, however, when I print to PDF (as well as other output options) all the labels are missing from the output. I am using the web appbuilder print widget. I've also tried adding the roads hosted tile service to the web map without moving it to the basemap and the same issue occurs. In addition, I have added the corresponding hosted feature service and created/managed labels within the web map. The labels are running together and look terrible. You would think there would be more control for the user beyond simply font type and visibility...like don't repeat so much...don't run into each other...and so on. How can I get my road labels to not only display but also print? Thank you in advance. Jeff

I was hoping there would be a way to maintain the association that's been established in the attribute table between the individual PDF documents and their corresponding pipe segments. Is that not possible? Do you have a workflow that charts out referencing PDF's to specific features after uploading the PDF's to AGOL?

Hello, I have a question regarding document access outside a local network. I've created an application for our engineers that features their sanitary pipe network. Each of these pipe segments has an associated PDF hyperlink (More Info). When the user clicks on the pipe inside AGO, the PDF is served up via a virtual directory on our web server. This works great while the machine is within the confines of our local network. However, I would like to give my engineers the added ability for accessing these same PDF's while they are out in the field and not connected to our local network. I've created other applications that work outside our network by storing all layers as hosted feature services but this particular wrinkle has me a little stumped for accessing hyperlinked documents. Is this possible? If so, how have you been successful in making this a reality. Thank you. Jeff
